Sneak Peek: Vintage Kindness Card
Here is another card with Vintage Vogue. I love the bright In Colors with this set. I drew my inspiration from the Razzleberry Lemonade paper, which I used on the card I posted yesterday. I think the patterns on that DSP go nicely with the stamps in this set.
The finished card size is 3-1/2" x 5-1/2".
Supplies: Vintage Vogue, Rich Razzleberry ink & cardstock, Melon Mambo ink & cardstock, Old Olive ink, Whisper White cardstock, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Sneak Peek: Vintage Friends Swap Card
Here is my card for our group's Occasions Mini catalog. I used the new Vintage Vogue stamp set. I can't wait to see the beautiful cards that I will get back. Our group has some amazing stampers!
Speaking of amazing stampers, I also used it as my shoebox swap with my Susan's Sparklers here in Michigan last night. We had loads of fun stamping together! It's become our annual tradition to get together while I'm back home for the holidays and I look forward to it each year. Next week, I'll be shoebox-swapping again with some of my Illinois crew in Springfield. I love this time of year!! Want to join us? Ultrasound Reveal Card
Earlier this week, I had an ultrasound to check on the baby. Everything measured right on target for my May 16 due date and I loved to see the baby wiggling around. Since it was a couple days before Christmas, I had the sonographer seal the boy/girl results in an envelope and we opened it together as a family on Christmas Eve. The night before the ultrasound, I made this card and two inserts to go inside: one with blue feet and one with pink feet.
And here's what we found when we opened the card on Christmas Eve:
The sonographer put a "?" by girl on the ultrasound picture, so I'm not sure what that means. I'm going to wait to get rid of our boy stuff just in case...
This will be our third girl. My oldest is a boy and was really hoping for a little brother. He was crushed to hear it was another girl, but he'll have some time to get over it before the baby comes.
Come back tomorrow when I start my Sneak Peek week with new samples every day using Occasions Mini and Sale-a-bration products!
Supplies: I'm Here, Just Perfect Alphabet, Chocolate Chip ink & cardstock, So Saffron ink, Whisper White cardstock, Kraft cardstock, 1/4" Whisper White grosgrain ribbon, Corner Rounder

Falling Snow "Waterfall" Card
Looks like we're finally in for some snow today! But I don't think we'll have much accumulation, which is okay by me! I'm not a big fan of the snow!
When it comes to holiday stamps, I especially like the ones that include snowflake images because you can use them all winter-long, even after the holidays have passed. Here's a card we made in Stamp Club this month. It could be a thank you, birthday, or just "Happy Winter" kind of card.
As you pull down the ribbon, the snow images "fall".
This is such a fun card! And not that hard to make! Click here for the Waterfall Card pattern with measurements and instructions to make your own.
Supplies: Berry Christmas, Best Wishes & More, Holiday Blitz, Lavender Lace ink & cardstock, Brilliant Blue ink/marker & cardstock, Bashful Blue ink & cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Silver Brads, 2-Way Glue, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon 1/8" Hole Punch

Merry Christmas!
I had grand plans of creating a little Christmas greeting with My Digital Studio to post for you today, but I ran out of time. Check out cute pictures of my kids here. Here's one last Christmas card to wrap up the season. I hope you had a wonderful day and that you are enjoying time with family and friends and making happy new memories. Merry Christmas!
The finished card measures 6" x 6". The pop-up was created with the "O Christmas Tree" Pop-Up die (#116822, $42.95) for the Big Shot, which can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. There's a little sizzlit to go with it that includes ornaments and a star for the top. And putting it together is not as hard as it looks! Would you believe the only adhesive is two small pieces of sticky strip on the tree...and that's only to secure it to the inside of then card!?!
Supplies: Delightful Decorations, Christmas Greetings, Kraft cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock, Old Olive cardstock, Chocolate Chip ink, Merry Moments DSP, Ornament Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Gold Brads, O Christmas Tree die for the Big Shot, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

Emery Board/Candy Cane/Pencil Holder
I bought these Stampin' Up! emery boards at Convention in July and finally designed a sleeve to put them in. I did this project with my Stamp Club this month. The emery boards are made with the same patterns as the Thoroughly Modern DSP, so we used the coordinating paper and cardstock to create the sleeve.
Supplies: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sahara Sand cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Soft Suede ink & cardstock, Thoroughly Modern DSP, 3/4" Circle Punch, Trio Flower Punch, Small Oval Punch, Silver Brads, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Paper Crimper, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals
I designed it to use a quarter sheet of cardstock: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". We scored at 1-1/2" and 3". Punch a notch in the center "column" with the 3/4" Circle Punch. Then, use sticky strip to adhere it on the side and bottom and then crimp it for extra hold.
Here's a Christmas version with a candy cane. (Elise broke the candy cane before I could take the picture, so that's why it's just a stick and not a full cane!)
Supplies: Snow Swirled, Real Red cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock, Chocolate Chip ink, Merry Moments DSP, 1/2 Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Silver Brads, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Paper Crimper, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals
You could use this same template for pencils or pixie sticks or other narrow treats. Hmm...maybe I'll do some for Claire's class for Valentine's Day!

Snowflake Thank You Card
As is the norm lately, I didn't get a chance to sit down and make my son's teacher's gift until the night before the last day of school. I made a set of notecards and end up packaging them very simply in a cello bag with ribbon and gifted it with some flavored chai tea. I kept the cards simple for the sake of time. At first, I felt like they were too simple (i.e. that it looked like my son had made them himself!), but I like the way they turned out. Hopefully his teacher did too!

Ribbon Pull Gift Card Holder Tutorial
I used to make a larger version of this ribbon pull project years ago. I re-sized it this winter so that it would fit a gift card. This was one of our stamp club projects this month. It's a perfect way to package those last minute gift cards you may be purchasing this week!
Pull the ribbon up to reveal the gift card inside. (Like my $150 Visa Gift card from Stampin' Up!? Just another perk of being a demonstrator!)
Click HERE for my Ribbon Pull Gift Card Holder Tutorial for cardstock measurements and details on how I made this gift card holder.
I used the Bride Specialty Designer Series Paper and brayered it with Old Olive ink to create the colored paper that wraps around the front of the gift card holder. (Click here to see another project using this technique and photos of how to do it.) And I tied the ribbon again at the top to make a loop in the middle so the gift card holder can be hung on the tree like an ornament. That way it won't get lost under the tree with the larger gifts!
Here's another version of the front using the Delightful Decorations stamp set and matching Ornament punch. (Don't forget the last day to order from the Holiday Mini catalog is January 4th!)
Supplies: Berry Christmas & Teeny Tiny Wishes (top project), Delightful Decorations & Fundamental Phrases (bottom project), Real Red ink & cardstock, Old Olive ink & cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, 1-1/4" & 1-3/8" Circle Punches, Scallop Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Ornament Punch, 1/8" Hole Punch, Rubber Brayer, 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip

Snowflake Treat Holder Ornament
I love finding other ways to use our products! I saw my mom's treat holder project using the petal card and was inspired to make one of my own. I had some chocolates with a wrapper that was almost Brilliant Blue, so I went with a snowflake theme.
I started with the Petal Card die for the Big Shot and folded up the bottom and side flaps. I made the scallop square with the Scallop Edge Punch (I took several tries to get it quite right -- I can't wait to get the new border punches and corner punches in the Occasions Mini!!) I decided to punch a hole in the top so it could be an ornament and hang on the tree too!
Supplies: Best Wishes & More, Bashful Blue ink & cardstock, Brilliant Blue cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Scallop Edge Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Petal Card Die, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Bashful Blue Striped Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Jingle All the Way Decor Block
While I'm posting gifts, here's the beautiful gift I received from Sherla at my upline's recent holiday party gift exchange.
We draw numbers and pick a gift or "steal" from someone else. It's a lot of fun and usually there's not much stealing even though Kim encourages it. Well, I got number 1, and that lucky draw gave me the opportunity to trade gifts with anyone at the end of the game! Since the gift in my hand was more snowflake ornaments (like the one I posted yesterday), I decided I'd trade a gift with someone else. And who better to steal from than Kim! Hee hee! She liked the ornaments from Teresa and I got to take home Sherla's gift. Sherla used the small Jingle All the Way Decor Element (#114707, $3.50) to decorate this glass block filled with pine cones and holly. Thanks, Sherla!

Soda Can Snowflake Ornament
My friend Chris made this beautiful snowflake ornament from me -- using two soda cans and the Snowflake #2 Die (#113460, $15.95) with her Big Shot!
Chris said the hardest part was rinsing and cutting all the cans. (She used her Craft & Rubber Scissors, #103179, $19.95 to cut the cans open.) Turns out this can be a dangerous (read: sharp!) procedure, but once you die-cut the can, the edges are smooth.
Chris layered two snowflakes for this ornament. Here are some more die cut soda can snowflakes she gave me.
Can you guess which brands they are? I love how colorful they are. And if you like plain silver, you can use the other side of the can.

Happy Moments Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek
It's Tuesday and if you're a demonstrator, that means more Sale-a-bration samples to check out on the Demonstrator website. They are buried, but you can find them under Products & Promotions --> Sale-a-bration 2010 --> Sale-a-bration Samples. And when you go there, you'll see one of my Happy Moments cards!
I LOVE these colors (Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, and Regal Rose) ~ so bright and springy! And once again, I re-used an old layout to make this card and quick and easy no-brainer. Click here to see my original Valentine card from last winter.
I have lots of Brilliant Blue and Green Galore brads stock-piled because I tend to use the Tempting Turquoise and Real Red from the Bold Brights package more often and reorder for those colors. So I set out to find some new color combinations for this card that would work with the blue and green brads. Here's what I came up with:
(Above) Winter Colors: Brilliant Blue, Garden Green, More Mustard
(Above) Summer Colors: Green Galore, Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac
Which color combination do you like best? Leave me a comment and vote for your favorite: Spring, Winter, or Summer.
Supplies: Happy Moments, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Certainly Celery marker & cardstock, Regal Rose marker/ink & cardstock, Apricot Appeal marker & cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Jet Black Staz-On ink, Soft Subtles Brads, Scallop Edge Punch, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, Stampin' Dimensionals
Happy Moments is a Sale-a-bration 2010 stamp set that will be available with qualifying orders and parties starting January 5th. Customers: Contact me for a copy of the Sale-a-bration brochure if you don't recieve one in the mail by Christmas.

Make Merry Wreath Card
I made this card up quick to match the re-usable bag that I packaged my party gift in for my upline's holiday gift exchange. Of course, I forgot to take a picture of the bag all dressed up with the card and ribbon. So you'll just have to imagine a Glorious Green bag with Red Polka Dot Ribbon tying off the handles. And then this card was in a clear envelope on the front of the bag. It looked very cute and coordinated!

More Circle Collage Cards
So far, the results of the poll show the majority wanting sneak peeks now, with a few wanting more Christmas. To please you both, here's a little of each!
This was the second Sale-a-bration sample that was posted on the Demonstrator website earlier this week. I used the new Vintage Labels set and the Nouveau Chic DSP (which is current and not new). You probably recognize the layout from these cards. I didn't have a lot of time to make the samples, so I used some old layouts to get them done quick. I think it looks completely different with the new colors and DSP!
Supplies: Vintage Labels, Basic Gray ink, Blush Blossom cardstock, Sage Shadow cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock, Nouveau Chic DSP, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals Silver Cord, Stampin' Dimensionals
And here are the same pieces used on another card; I just schanged the orientation and reduced the card size to 5-1/2" x 3-1/2".
Supplies: Delightful Decorations, Real Red ink, Whisper White cardstock, Soft Suede cardstock, Christmas Cocoa DSP, 1" Circle Punch,1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Ornament Punch, Silver Cord, Stampin' Dimensionals

I think it looks completely different with the new colors and DSP!
Supplies: Vintage Labels, Basic Gray ink, Blush Blossom cardstock, Sage Shadow cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock, Nouveau Chic DSP, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals Silver Cord, Stampin' Dimensionals
And here are the same pieces used on another card; I just schanged the orientation and reduced the card size to 5-1/2" x 3-1/2".
Supplies: Delightful Decorations, Real Red ink, Whisper White cardstock, Soft Suede cardstock, Christmas Cocoa DSP, 1" Circle Punch,1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Ornament Punch, Silver Cord, Stampin' Dimensionals

Faux Alligator Purse
At our last group meeting, I demonstrated the Faux Alligator Skin technique. I whipped up this little purse to show as a sample of what kind of project you might use the technique on. (I saw lots of these little purses this past spring, but I'm not sure who was the original thinker-upper.) It was super easy to put together with the help of a couple Big Shot dies!
Technqiue: When I made the purse, I did the technique on three pieces of cardstock, before I cut them into Top Notes. Here's how to do it: Press the Versamark ink pad directly onto your card stock, covering it well. Cover with clear embossing powder. Use the tip of a bone folder to draw horizontal or slanted lines through the embossing powder. Then draw lines going vertical to make little boxes. Tap off excess powder and heat emboss.Purse assembly: You'll need one Box #2 (XL die) and three Top Notes. (I used Always Artichoke, but you could make these little purses in lots of different colors!)
Here's a picture of how I cut them.
The frame of the purse is the Box #2. I cut the flaps and lid off and pinched in the sides a little, like a milk carton. For the sides, trim about a 1/2" off the top and bottom of two top notes. The third top note is folded in half for the purse "lid". I used Sticky Strip to adhere it to the back of the purse and a Velcro to hold it shut.

Christmas Cheer & New Poll
Ok, I need some input. I was planning to wait until January to post the projects I'm making with the new Occasions Mini and Sale-a-bration products...it just seems silly to show something that most of you can't buy yet. But I'm seeing it everywhere else. So you tell me -- do you want to see sneak peeks now or should I wait until January? I set up a new poll in the sidebar of my blog. Please answer there, but feel free to leave a comment if you have more to say!
I need to take some more pictures of a few projects, so in the meantime, here's another Christmas card. Have you finished all your cards yet? I haven't even finished making out my list! I still have two weeks, right?!
Supplies: Merry & Bright Rub-Ons (no stamps!), Soft Suede cardstock, Real Red cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Christmas Cocoa DSP, Ornament Punch

Shimmer Texturz Rose Card
There's a lot going on with this card. It was a make and take at my last group meeting and I wanted to incorporate the Shimmer Mist technique, but make it an extra special card.
Here's a close-up:
And the inside:
We used the Shimmer Mist technique to spray the gate-folded cardstock before sending it through the Big Shot with the Texturz Plate. (Click here to see photos of another card I made like this. The rose card did not use the oval to make a frame.) I also sprayed a little of the Shimmer Mist on the rose before I cut it out.
Supplies: A Rose is a Rose, Almost Amethyst ink & cardstock, Elegant Eggplant ink & cardstock, Certainly Celery ink, Old Olive ink, So Saffron ink, Whisper White cardstock, Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates for the Big Shot

Sale-a-bration 2010 Sneak Peek
I want to save most my my Sale-a-bration samples until after Christmas, closer to when you can actually get the Sale-a-bration products yourself, but here's one little sneak peek:
I used the new Vintage Labels stamp set to make this pillow box. The Vintage Labels set is great and includes 3 different "label" stamps that coordinate with the Curly Label Punch, Wide Oval Punch, and Scallop Circle Punch -- plus three greetings to go inside the labels. You're gonna love it!
I'm so excited about the Sale-a-bration offering! It includes four exclusive stamp sets, a brand new border punch (!!), and a 6x6 pad of new Designer Series paper. As if that wasn't enough, you'll also have the option to choose from over 70 stamp sets in the big catalog! Sale-a-bration is January 5 - March 31. Call or email now to schedule your Sale-a-bration party (or catalog party!) and ask me about a special hostess gift!
If you're a demonstrator, you'll find more of my Sale-a-bration samples on the Demonstrator Website! (Look Under Products & Promotions --> Sale-a-bration 2010 --> Sale-a-bration Samples) They will be posting new samples every Tuesday during December.

250K Blog Candy
We are very much overdue for some blog candy!! Thank you for following my blog, for leaving me comments and feedback, and for being a part of my stamping journey. Sometimes it's a little strange to think about all the people out there who are following my blog and who, in a sense, know me...thought I've never met them and don't know anything about them. So, spill it, sister! Tell me who you are, where you're from (at least state or country), whether you're a demonstrator or a customer, and anything else you want to share! Leave a comment on this post and on Friday, December 11, at 2:00 pm Central Time, I will draw one random winner to receive this fabulous prize:
250K Blog Candy Includes:
* Love Bug (Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set)
* Notecards & Envelopes (set of 20)
Here's a sample I made using this stamp set and notecards. I love making really clean and simple cards like this. A little color and some glitter. The stamps just speak for themselves!
Oh! I almost forgot! There's one little catch. I'll post the name of the winner, but I'm not going to email you. The purpose of Blog Candy is to reward regular readers who follow my blog, not to give away free stuff to someone who just hopped over and happened to find blog candy. Not that you can't win if you're new to my blog. I'm just saying... if you don't continue to follow, you won't know if you won and the prize will go unclaimed. (sad face) So if you're new, welcome! If you've been following for awhile, thank you! And to everyone -- good luck! And I look forward to learning a little bit about each of you!
And for more for my record more than anything else, here are the latest blog stats, as of today, 12-7-09:
