Fruit Basket Itty Bitty Fruit Tags

Check out these Itty Bitty Fruit tags that we made at On Stage in November! I was on the fence about getting this cute bundle, but then I saw that it was only $35 for the stamp set and punch pack and I caved!

I used the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack to punch out the fruit images -- and they sure are Itty Bitty! But that's why I love them so much!

TIP: Use the half circle punch (intended for the slice of fruit) upside down at the top of the tag to create a hole for the ribbon.

If you're a new stamper or still building your ink collection, you'll love the Tutti Fruitti Classic Ink Spots! This set of four comes in colors that coordinate with the designer paper so you'll have the colors you need to make tags, cards, and more!

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Fruit Basket stamp set, Lemon Lime Twist ink, Daffodil Delight ink, Soft Suede ink, Whisper White cardstock, Sunburst Punch, Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack, Triple Banner Punch, Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon, Whisper White Baker's Twine

Fresh Fruit Peach Gate Fold Card

The second card in my Stamp of the Month Club card kit this month was inspired by a card my friend Mary Ellen Stites designed for our Vacation Stamping School team training event last month. I love the fun gate fold that Mary Ellen used on her card. I changed up the card base color to have more variety among the cards in this month's kit and incorporated the doilies and burlap that I used on the other card designs.

Card-Making Tips:
  • To create this gate-fold card, start with a piece of cardstock that is 4-1/4" x 11" and score at 2-3/4" and 8-1/4". The inside piece is 3-3/4" x 5".
  • Stamp the border at the bottom of the card using the single "dot" from the Fresh Fruit stamp set.
  • Ink the peach stamp with Peekaboo Peach ink. BEFORE stamping, use a sponge dauber to add Watermelon Wonder ink along the bottom and up the middle of the stamp. If desired, spritz the stamp lightly with water before stamping for a more watercolor look. (Watercolor Paper is best for this technique.)
  • For extra sparkle, apply Clear Wink of Stella to the stamped peach and the peaches on the designer paper.
  • Make sure to only use adhesive on the top half of the front layer so you don't glue the card closed!

VIDEO: Wink of Stella Watercolor Wash on Fresh Fruit Pear Card

I originally designed this Fresh Fruit pear card for our Vacation Stamping School demonstrator team training in July. It's such a simple, clean design that I thought it would be perfect to round out my Stamp of the Month Club card kit for August. The layout is pretty simple, but I do have some tips to share for some of the details that make this a wow!

I started by cutting the 4" x 4" Fruit Stand designer paper diagonally -- cutting about 1/3 off. I used the bigger piece on the front of the card and saved the smaller piece for the inside of the card.

To cut the burlap ribbon at just the right angle, I held it over the designer paper to trim the edges before adhering them both to the card front. TIP: Use Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape to secure the ribbon in place.

Stamp the pear on the Lots of Label die cut before adding the Watercolor Wash background. I stamped off on my grid paper before stamping the pear. Then I "rolled" the stamp over the Pear Pizzazz ink pad and stamped again over the original image to give the variation in color.

For the Tinted Wink of Stella Wash:
  1. Squeeze out Clear Wink of Stella on to a clear block.
  2. Add one drop of Daffodil Delight (or better yet, So Saffron) ink refill and mix with the Wink of Stella pen.
  3. Paint the mixture around the stamped image.
