Did you miss me these last few days? Sorry for my blogging silence...I hate to make excuses, and I know I promised new projects every day, so here's my explanation: This week, my son had surgery -- pretty standard tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and insertion of tubes in his ears. He's really doing great, much better than I expected.
But the real reason for my inactivity is because I've been the one vegging on the couch. Instead of staying up to stamp and work on things, I've been feeling extra tired and even a little sick. The kind of sick that comes in the morning...and sometimes at night...or the middle of the afternoon...or whenever it feels like. That's right, I'm having a baby! Baby #4 is due next May...about four days after the cruise I now can't go on. We're a little disappointed to miss the trip, but now I am extra focused on earning the next cruise, to Alaska!
Okay, so the cat's out of the bag! You know my big news. I'll try to keep up with posting new projects, but things may be a little slower than normal for a couple more weeks until I start feeling better. I am working on the tutorials and photos for the Magic Card, so watch for that this weekend. And I also have a pre-order special for My Digital Studio, which sadly, I own, but haven't had a chance to play with yet....
In the meantime, here's a card I made up for my mom to display at her Holiday Mini Open House tonight. Good luck, Sparklers! I wish you lots of success!
Some notes about the card: (1) The ghosts were clear-embossed on black cardstock. I water-colored them with Whisper White Craft ink. (2) The gray background was embossed using the Texture Plates Kit #4 (the text/word plate) and the Big Shot. After I embossed it, I rubbed the white ink pad over words to highlight them.
Supplies: Twick or Tweet (Holiday Mini), Teeny Tiny Wishes, Basic Black ink & cardstock, Whisper White craft ink & cardstock, Going Gray cardstock, Basic Grat cardstock, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Clear Buttons, White Embroidery Floss, Jumbo Brads, Top Note die, Texture Plates Kit #4 for the Big Shot
