One of my favorite things about the Magic Card is that you can have some elements of your image hidden until the slider is pulled up. On the Beary Best Friends Magic Card I posted yesterday, the surprise element was the red balloon. This time, it's the little joey hiding in the mommy's kangaroo's pouch and the expression: "peek-a-boo...someone new".
When I showed my mother the sample cards the night before my demonstration in Cincinnati, I showed her this one last and prefaced it by saying: "This is how I'm going to tell you that I can't go on the cruise."

New baby?? Hooray!!
ReplyDeleteI JUST ordered this set today to make baby announcements for our 2nd baby girl coming in February. I was trying to think of how to make the baby kangaroo pop out. This is the PERFECT solution. I'm SO using this idea. Check baby announcements off the ever growing to do list! Thanks for the inspiration and for posting the "how to". I'm a demonstrator and LOVE looking at your blog. You make ADORABLE stuff.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely ADORABLE! And congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteJulie, Congrats! :) I stayed up late last night making a magic card I was so inspired! Thank you for the tutorial. I did not have window sheets and so I tried transparency film....I think they are too thin as my clear sheet "bubbled up" and did not stay down on the white paper? Guess window sheets are on my "wish list" now! LOL :) Becky
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Julie! And congrats on your "infanticipation"!!
ReplyDeleteThese magic cards are darling, and congratulations on your coming addition!
