650K Blog Candy & Alaska Cruise Highlight

Every year I hold a Customer Appreciation Party to say thank you to my customers for supporting my business and stamping with me. My favorite part of the whole night is giving away prizes. What a joyful thing to make someone's day with a special gift to make them smile. I can only imagine what Oprah feels like when she gives away cars!!

It's also kind of fun to be on the receiving end of prize-winning. On the Stampin' Up! Cruise to Alaska, they had a guessing game in the hospitality room for us. Almost every day there was a new bag of Stampin' Up! goodies and we had to feel the bag and guess how many products were inside. And guess who won Bag 2!? ME!!

When we got back to our room after a late night in Juneau and a quick dinner, there were a message on my room phone saying that I had won! I screamed. I mean literally screamed! I was so excited! Unfortunately, the hospitality room was already closed. And the next morning we had to be off the ship bright and early for an excursion, so I had to wait the WHOLE next day before I could check in and claim my prize! Here I am with the bag:

There were 34 items in the bag with a total value over $250!! WOW!! There was a lot of consumable stuff like ribbon, adhesive, buttons, envelopes, but also some fun stuff like a stamp set, Big Shot folder, a set of 10 markers (!), SIX packages of Rhinestones...

    Julie...On an anniversary cruise with my husband (a prize in itself), I won a diamond ring. Talk about being born under a lucky star!!!!

    Wow! Great blog candy, thanks so much for a go at winning it.
    My biggest win ever (isn't much - but came at a time I very much needed it) was a scratch of called Vegas nights and I won $75. I couldn't believe it and like I said it couldn't have came at a better time.

    Congratulations Julie! That prize is awesome. It must have made the cruise even better. I am one of the unlucky ones. I don't usually win at anything. Put my name in a raffle, never picked. Play the lottery, never win. You know how it goes. So I would say that my biggest win was my husband. He has been the best part of my life & has given me 2 of the best kids a woman can ask for. Does that count?

    Yes, winning is fun and the bag of goodies you won is awesome. Thanks for the chance to win blog candy! When I was a teenager, my dad took me to the dog races because he had a client that had a Greyhound that he raced. I bet on that dog even though he was a longshot and he won! So did I. I don't remember what the payout was but it was several hundred dollars. I bought a gold Greyhound charm for a necklace and still have it. I haven't thought about that for years!

    We had a scrapbooking day at church and the grand prize was $45 album. My girlfriend asked my daughter to draw a name and of course like any other mother, I'm yelling, PULL MY NAME BABY. And she did. She was more excited than I was.

    Not sure if it counts if you have to do something to win, but when I was about 10 for VBS they had a contest to see who could bring the most visitors & I won a bike! Being 2nd born usually you get all hand me downs (which is not bad really) so it was fun to get a new bike :)

    The "biggest" prize I ever won was a $20 gift certificate from amazon.com. Had to stay 'til the end of an all-day workshop and hand in an evaluation to be entered. Purchased a "Paper Crafts" mag subscription with my winnings.

    I won an eggpress calendar set with a planner, photo wall calendar and small pocket calendar. I was so excited when I won. It was kind of embarrassing though because I had to keep asking the blog owner when the vendor was going to send. It took many months but I finally got it. Yea. Ashleigh B

    The biggest prize i won was back in the 80's I entered a contest thru a magazine and came in 3rd and received a autography picture from McHammer and a bright pink neon baseball hat.

    Fun times on the cruise! Winning the bag full of goodies had to bring an extra smile. My biggest material win was a stamp set with embellishments. Thanks for the change to win your blog candy and Congrats on the 650K hits! jmniffer

    Julie, Congrats on reaching 650k!!! What a milestone! And what an awesome prize you won!! I guess my biggest win was I once won $250 on a scratch off ticket shortly after my 18th birthday...since then not much luck though. :) Thanks for the chance to win!!
