Stampin' Up! Holiday Ornament Cover Creation

I finally got around to making the ornament on the cover of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. I admit, I did have some help from my friend Wiko! Not that it's that complicated, but I'm the kind of person that puts off big projects!

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the printable tutorial that I posted with instructions from Stampin' Up! on how to create paper ornaments. These are the basic steps to creating the ornament. The bigger ornament is just more layers of the same thing and you can find of look at the photo to see what you need to add. Did you notice the glitter on EVERY edge!? I skipped that part! Here's my version:

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Ornament Keepsakes stamp set, Very Vanilla cardstock, Gumball Green ink, Cherry Cobbler ink, Be of Good Cheer DSP, Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle, Holiday Ornament Framelits (Big Shot), Rosette Die, Sticky Rounds, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Linen Thread, 1/16" Hole Punch, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Large Pearls, Hot Glue, SNAIL Adhesive

Because you have to stamp and die cut a total of 40 ornaments to make this big one, I decided to use designer paper for the class I had tonight. The paper wasn't quite as sturdy as the cardstock, but the ornaments turned out great! And I love how they were all so different from each other! I'll be holding a class on Sunday, December 2nd if you want to make your own. Watch for details in my newsletter coming soon...
