VIDEO: Sale-a-Bration Happy Hello Open Top Box

Remember the Open Top Boxes I posted last year? (See them here and here.) I knew as soon as I saw the Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit in the Sale-a-bration brochure that it would be perfect! Don't you agree?
The Happy Hello Card Kit is obviously meant to make cards, but I love that you can make something else with just a few extra score lines!
Watch my video tutorial to learn how to make this box from the Simply Sent Card Kit. You can use the same measurements on another card kit or even just a 1/2 sheet of cardstock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2").

Prefer a print tutorial? Check out the PDF tutorial I posted last fall. The scoring measurements are the same as this project, so you can print it out and refer back to it later.

Ready for a Door Prize!? I love card kits. They are easy and you do just enough to make it handmade. I call them the Jiffy Cake Mixes of Card-Making! To be entered in the door prize drawing for two card kits, leave me a comment on this post and tell me how often you stamp! Is it every day? Every week? Once a month?  I will draw one winner for the Day 6 Door Prize at the end of the week. (Sorry, this drawing is open to U.S. residents only!) Good luck!

  1. Hi Julie! Another cute idea! Thank you! I have been stamping nearly every day. Not sure if I've just felt more creative or if it's the winter weather. ;-) I am loving it! Karen D.

  2. Well, it is definitely not as often as I'd like! Right now my stamp things are not very organized. We are in the process of building a craft room in the basement & I think that will make it much easier to stamp more often! I don't have any of the card kits--they look nice & fast! Thanks for the video! Andrea Howell

  4. I would LOVE to stamp everyday!
But in reality, I often only stamp few times a month, and have to put down all the fun toys (stamps, ink, paper etc.) >_<

This box is cute, I love how easy to use the kit!

  8. I don't stamp as often as I'd like but when I can it is usually all day. So I'd say at least 6 times a month.

  9. I stamp at least twice a week as I'm trying to focus on MDS, a real challenge that consumes more time than I have. The box is one amazing project...I love it!

I stamp a couple of times a month. I'd love to do more but have problems making the time.

  14. Oh, don't ask. It's almost never. However I made a card for my brother's birthday this month. And I've got lots planned in my head! That's got to count for something. (I wish.)

  15. I would love to stamp every day!! But, I do manage to get in my stamp studio and play at least once a week. Sometimes I don't stamp as much as I am organizing to get ready to stamp!

  16. Great idea with the printed cards. I love making boxes for little gifts. I wish I could stamp once a week, but lately it's been maybe twice a month. Hope to be able to get back to a more steady schedule.
