I had the pleasure of sharing a new project on ciLiving this afternoon: a Magnetic Memo Board! I turned a picture frame into a decorative way to keep track of notes and reminders. Watch it now:
I used the Layered Labels stamp set and coordinating Apothecary Accents Framelits to create the embellishment for the top of the Memo Board. The Magnetic Platform for the Big Shot makes lining up the framelits a snap! This might be my favorite product from the new catalog! Check it out here.
I adhered magnets to the back of the In Color Boutique Details. They are kind of like buttons, but without the holes and they have a nice flat back. The magnets stick to the paper because behind the paper are two pieces of metal. They are Roof Flashing Shingles! You can find them at your local home improvement store. Here's a picture of the package so you know what you're looking for. (Click image for a larger view.)The frame I used is 8" x 10", so I cut the paper to the same size. Two of the Flashing Shingles fit on the back side, with about a 1/2" of paper exposed on each side.

ReplyDeleteGreat job! Enjoyed the video as well as the project.
ReplyDeleteI've made the magentic frame using a 5"x7" frame, but what a great idea using an 8"x10" frame and 2 of the flashing sheets. I love your project too. Will be trying it soon.
