Flower Shop Card with Simply Pressed Clay

Here's a card we made at Stamp Club this month. I love the yummy new In Colors together: Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe! And I used that gorgeous ruffle trim to accent the edge of the circle. It's stretchy, so it's really easy to move around the circle. The key is good adhesive around the edges to get it to stick. I used the super sticky Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets on the back of the circle.

Did you notice that I gathered the doily in the center to make it smaller and give the card texture? I saw that tip in the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog on page 17!

The gem on this card is the Simply Pressed Clay flower in the middle of the flower. I realize as I am typing this that I should probably film a little video to show you how the Simply Pressed Clay works...I'll add it to my list! So stay tuned! In the meantime, here are a few tips for the Simply Pressed Clay:

• One package goes a LONG way...as in hundreds of buttons and flowers from our Simply Pressed Clay molds.
• You can dye the clay with reinker or color it with an ink pad or marker.
• You can even stamp on it!
• The clay air dries firm and lightweight, so you don’t have to bake it.
• If you live in a humid environment, take out the clay that you want to use and allow it to air dry for a short while before you mold it. Otherwise, it will just stick to the mold and may not fold it's form.
