Reverse Spotlighting Sympathy Card

I CASEd this card from my friend and fellow demonstrator Sue Scheets. I received the card as swap...sometime in the last couple years. I found it when I was going through old swaps and knew it was the perfect clean and simple card to share with my club.

Are you familiar with the Spotlighting technique? Check out sample cards here. Spotlighting is when you stamp part of the image and color it and pop it up from the rest of the image. The technique I used on this card is called Reverse Spotlighting. You spotlight part of the image by creating a negative, punching away from the main image and having the colored part in that window.

The secret is to use a small piece of cardstock to stamp the trees and line it up understand instead of trying to stamp them both perfectly.
