I made a slider card in March (see it
here) with the Penny Farthing from the Timeless Talk stamp set. The idea on this card is similar, but much easier! Many thanks to
Rachel Chamberlain for her fabulous demonstration at Spring Into Stamping this year. You can check out all of her awesome slider cards on her blog
here. I have included pictures from Spring into Stamping of a few of my favorite slider cards that Rachel made.
I created a quick video tutorial to show you how to make the basic slider card. Once you know how to make it, you can embellish it however you'd like and even turn it so that it slides to the side instead of up or down.
The base of the card is 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4" and 8". On my card, I used a slider piece that was 3-3/4" x 5".
Here are some samples that Rachel displayed at Spring Into Stamping:

I think these are awesome! I can't wait to try one myself. I love the penguin, but I think I would like him sliding the other direction. Seems more natural.
ReplyDeleteEither way, they are all so cute!
Thank you for doing your video.
Thanks, Julie! Looks simple enough. Cute ideas, too.
