For my card, I wanted to combine a new classic with an old one. I used the Work of Art stamp set to create a monochromatic brushstroke background on these cards. Here is the first one I designed:
You can't see it well in the photo, but I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the snowy ground beneath the tree. I love the "peace & joy" greeting from the new Giggle Greetings stamp set. This stamp set will be available exclusively to hostesses when the Holiday Catalog starts later this week!
Ultimately, I decided it was a little early for Christmas, so I used up some cardstock I already had cut and picked a different tree and a different brushstroke stamp to create this masculine thank you card.

Love how you used the Work of Art Stamp Set with Lovely as a Tree. It works perfectly.
ReplyDeleteLoved both of your cards at card club! I can't wait to get the Work of Art set too!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are wonderful...these are two of my favorite stamp sets as well...and I bought the trees in my first year and continue to love and use it! TFS both concepts!
ReplyDeleteI just love these cards, and how you simplified what we have all been doing with chalks, and sponging, and watercoloring for years. Stamp, stamp and you have a beautiful background. Well, thank you mam!!
ReplyDeleteHi Julie, I came across your beautiful card on Pinterest last night thinking it was an entry for the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge, but I don't think that was your intention. Anyway, if you get a chance look up the challenge because your card is perfect for the sketch design and I love it! P.S. - I just so happen to be on the Design Team!
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie, I love your cards and I am going to use them in a class next week!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Julie! Found your beautiful card on Pinterest. I was wondering what colors you used for the Christmas version? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteKelly, I don't have your email address to reply directly, so I hope you see this! The Christmas card with Lovely as a Tree here uses the now retired Lost Lagoon. A good substitution would be Marina Mist. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
