Occasions Catalog Farewell Global Blog Hop: Part 1: Apple of my Eye Lemon Cards

Welcome to part 1 of our Occasions Catalogue Farewell 2016 Blog Hop! Currently you’re visiting Julie Davison from Illinois in the United States.

You’ll be hopping around to 6 countries and will visit 11 amazing Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, each with special project to inspire you. Check out the blog list at the end of this post and be sure to hop along to see all of the projects.

We are using stamp sets from the 2016 Occasions Catalog, which is coming to an end in just a few weeks on on May 31. Make sure to get your favorite goodies before they're gone!

I choose the Apple of my Eye stamp set for my card. I actually made two cards and couldn't decide which one to share, so you get both! The focal images are the same, I just changed the layout. Leave me a comment and let me know which one you like best!

Card #1: Deco Label & Banner Card
The cluster of lemon slices was inspired by a card that my friend Alison Stachera designed for the Spring Card Class we held together last month. I really love the black and white Everyday Chic designer paper that pops against the Daffodil Delight and Cucumber Crush.

Card #2: Pleated Paper Card
I love the Drapery fold that I've been seeing everyone do. I finally gave it a try and it's so easy! I combined and simplified the directions I've seen and will be posting a video tutorial and more Pleated Paper card ideas tomorrow. Be sure to come back and check it out! [Edited on 5/7/16: Video & PDF Tutorial for Pleated Paper Technique.]
