What a busy weekend! I was in the Springfield area this weekend to do a mega Christmas card class with two other demonstrators. We had 52 people attend on Saturday and each person made 12 cards -- that's 624 cards! Whew! I'm still cleaning up and putting away all of my supplies. I designed and prepared the packets for four different card designs. This card was one of them. It's also the third card in my October Stamp of the Month Club kit featuring the Santa's Sleigh stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.
There is no
commitment when you join my Stamp of the Month Club! I'll add you to my club mailing list and you'll receive one email each month revealing the stamp set and

This card, the second design for my Santa's Sleigh card kit, so many little details. The blue and gray colors will remind you of the icy cold night that Santa fills his sleigh with presents for boys and girls. I think this card captures the magic of Christmas through a child's eye.
Although I did fussy cut the gift bows on this card, there are framelit dies in the Santa's Sleigh set that will do the job for you. I added Wink of Stella to the ribbon and gift bows to make them sparkle and pop.

I was so excited to get my Paper Pumpkin kit a little early this month! And even more excited when I opened up the box and saw this beautiful autumn-themed card kit. I could hardly wait and get busy making up alternative projects with this month's kit!
I love the challenge of creating other projects with the supplies in my
Paper Pumpkin box, but the original project designs are cute too! This
kit included material to create eight shaker cards! Check out this video to see
the original designs from the October 2016 Season of Gratitude Kit:
The first idea that I has was to use the die cut leaves leftover from the card front to create mini cards. I started by cutting the Crumb cake card in half, making the finished size of these cards 2-3/4" x 4-1/4". To add a pop of color, I cut squares from the included envelopes to layer on to each other.
Or use the box to give a small gift or candy. The scalloped edge was created with an edgelit from the Popcorn Box Thinlit Dies, but everything else (excluding the Gusseted Cellophane Bag) came from the Paper Pumpkin kit!
You can create your own envelopes for thee mini cards with the Envelope Punch Board, but they are too small to mail on their own. Here's another version of the cards using the Crumb Cake Notecards & Envelopes. I love how clean and simple these cards are!
Ready to step it up a bit? Here are two cards I created with the October kit and a little extra cardstock (Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla). For the first card, I cut apart the original shaker card front into a smaller frame. (I used another piece of that cut apart card front for the box!)
Here's a close-up that better shows the detail of the leaf. I cut apart a square of patterned paper from the envelope and applied adhesive to the middle. Then I added the small sequins and pressed down to secure them to the adhesive. (The Multipurpose Liquid Glue would be best for this!) When the adhesive is dry, add the frame over the sequined paper. Note: I cut the banner in half to stick out from either side.
For my last project, I used the die cut frame piece from the kit on a Chocolate Chip card and layered the tags and twine for the greeting. I have so many pieces leftover, I can't wait to keep playing with this Paper Pumpkin Kit.

To be honest, Santa's Sleigh was not on my list of must-have stamp sets when I first saw the Holiday Catalog. However, I chose to feature it this month for Stamp of the Month Club because it's so different from all of the other holiday stamp sets in my collection. I saw potential for some really fun cards. When I design my card kits, I try to use as many stamps from the stamp set as possible. I designed this card to make use of the stocking stamp. I die cut the fireplace from the Hearth & Home framelits.
