The first idea that I has was to use the die cut leaves leftover from the card front to create mini cards. I started by cutting the Crumb cake card in half, making the finished size of these cards 2-3/4" x 4-1/4". To add a pop of color, I cut squares from the included envelopes to layer on to each other.
These cut little mini cards needed a box, so I crafted this Open Top Treat Box from one of the Crumb Cake cards included in the kit. Click here for directions to make this box. I cut apart another envelope to create a liner for the box.
Or use the box to give a small gift or candy. The scalloped edge was created with an edgelit from the Popcorn Box Thinlit Dies, but everything else (excluding the Gusseted Cellophane Bag) came from the Paper Pumpkin kit!
You can create your own envelopes for thee mini cards with the Envelope Punch Board, but they are too small to mail on their own. Here's another version of the cards using the Crumb Cake Notecards & Envelopes. I love how clean and simple these cards are!
Ready to step it up a bit? Here are two cards I created with the October kit and a little extra cardstock (Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla). For the first card, I cut apart the original shaker card front into a smaller frame. (I used another piece of that cut apart card front for the box!)
Here's a close-up that better shows the detail of the leaf. I cut apart a square of patterned paper from the envelope and applied adhesive to the middle. Then I added the small sequins and pressed down to secure them to the adhesive. (The Multipurpose Liquid Glue would be best for this!) When the adhesive is dry, add the frame over the sequined paper. Note: I cut the banner in half to stick out from either side.
For my last project, I used the die cut frame piece from the kit on a Chocolate Chip card and layered the tags and twine for the greeting. I have so many pieces leftover, I can't wait to keep playing with this Paper Pumpkin Kit.
