Friends of a Feather Alternative Paper Pumpkin Project Ideas

Kits are fun when you don't want to think about what to design and you want to skip to the fun. That's why I love Paper Pumpkin! It's professionally designed and ready to craft. But you know me -- I love to take those pieces and turn them into something different! I didn't do a complete inventory, but I'm pretty sure the October kit includes lots of extra pieces that you don't need for the projects as designed. Woo hoo!
If you want to create something different with your kit, my biggest tip is to cut apart the envelopes. Usually there are some beautiful patterned pieces that are being under-utilized as envelopes! That's what I did for my first card. I love this pattern!

Because I cut the envelope apart, I decided to cut the next card down to the size of a regular card (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") so that it would fit into a regular envelope. I just had to cut a little off the length.

There are so many ways to use the elements in the Friends of a Feather kit. Check out the alternative projects that the Paper Pumpkin team at Stampin' Up! created:
