5 Pansy Patch Cards + Sunday Stamping Video

When I first saw the Pansy Petals Suite in the Annual Catalog, I was a little overwhelmed. I'm a "clean and simple" kind of stamper and having a set with so many different pieces left me wondering where to start.

Whenever I feel stuck, I just turn to the Annual Catalog for inspiration and start CASEing. To CASE means to "Copy And Share Everything" although I prefer the definition "Copy And Selectively Edit". I did make a few changes to some of the projects as I copied them. See if you can spot the differences!

This first project was inspired by the gift bag. I kept many elements and turned it into a card. This is one way to use the Pansy Patch bundle -- die cut detailed images and layer them to create the complete flower image. This tag includes 16 individual die cut pieces (not including the tag)!

Another way to use the Pansy Patch bundle is to stamp and die cut. Each of the flower images includes 4 layers that you can customize with different colors to make pansies in every shade! I'm not going to lie...this card was also tedious with 10 die cut pieces!

This card is a little more my usual speed with the designer paper doing the heavy lifting and a single stamped and die cut flower used as an accent.

I love this next card and copied it exactly as it was in the catalog. This sample caught my eye when I felt looked at the Annual Catalog. The flowers and leaves are die cut from the designer paper! I love that you can get the look of professionally colored flowers without all the fuss!

After CASEing the catalog projects, it was my turn to create something original to share last week for our mother-daughter stamping video series: Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie. I stuck with the die cut designer paper flowers and dressed them up with a fun fold card.

Here are the measurements that I used to create this Pansy Patch Double Z Fold Card:
  • 4-1/4" x 11" Polished Pink Cardstock, scored at 5-1/2" and 8-1/4"
  • 3-1/4" x 10" Evening Evergreen Cardstock, scored at 4-1/2" and 7-1/4"
  • 3" x 4-1/4" Pansy Patch Designer Paper
  • 3" x 2-1/2" Pansy Patch Designer Paper
  • 3" x 2-1/2" Basic White Cardstock
  • 1/2" x 2-1/2" Pansy Patch Designer Paper

  1. Both the detailed stamping and die-cutting seem overwhelming, but the end results are fabulous.
