Sale-a-Bration Favorite: 11 Stampin' Up! Dainty Flowers Project Ideas

Sale-a-Bration is already half over, but there is still plenty of time to get all of your favorites -- like the Dainty Flowers Designer Paper. Mom and I featured this paper and the coordinating Dainty Delight Bundle in a recent episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie. (See the Diamond Z Fold Card I shared.) I made a few extra cards using this gorgeous paper. 

The first one is my favorite! I let the designer paper be the star of the show and added vellum die cuts around the designer paper frame and added a heat-embossed greeting over the top. The colors on this card are Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.

I kept it clean and simple for the second card. I used a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of designer paper for the background and added a 2" x 4-1/4" piece of white cardstock with simple stamping using Blushing Bride and Starry Sky ink.

Stampin' Up! Love Cats Valentine Card + Video with 55+ Mini Catalog Card Ideas

I more of a dog person than a cat person. In fact, I'm allergic to cats, so I've never really been a feline fan. However, I could not resist the cuties in the Love Cats stamp set! I designed this clean and simple card using strips of designer paper from the Country Floral Lane designer paper to create a black and white (with a pop of color!) Valentine card.

Stampin' Up! Silly Goose Friend Card + Mini Catalog Project Supply List

Every time a new catalog comes out, I challenge my team to "CASE the Catalog" and make a card inspired by a sample in the catalog, changing the stamp set or colors or both. [CASE stands for "Copy And Steal (or Share) Everything" or "Copy And Selectively Edit".] I love this exercise mostly because it's a reminder that our catalog is more than that -- it's an Idea Book & Catalog, which is why they used to call it exactly that! Are you inpsired by the projects you see in Stampin' Up! catalogs?

One of the first stamp sets I picked out from the new January-April 2023 Mini Catalog was the Silly Goose stamp set. I love the whimsical, fun images and puns! And the first card that I created with it was a CASE of a sample in the catalog.

Here is the original card created by Stampin' Up! Concept Artists for the January-April 2023 Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog. I used the same layout and changed the colors and designer paper to use products that I was featuring in my 12 Days of Christmas gift box.

Technique Tuesday: Emboss with Detailed Dies | Stampin' Up! Two Tone Flora Card + Video Tutorial

I find large, detailed dies to be intimidating. I know that sounds silly, but sometimes it just feels like a lot of work to poke out all of the pieces and fuss with gluing it done. When I sat down to create card with the new Two Tone Flora bundle, I opted to skip the die cutting and instead, use the large die to create an embossed background with the Silicone Craft Mat!

Have you tried this technique before? It works with ANY detailed die! From bottom to top, here is the "sandwich" to put through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine: Platform Base (1) [without Die Plate (2)], Cutting Plate (3), Silicone Craft Sheet, Cardstock, Die (cutting edge facing down against the paper), Cutting Plate (3).
