VIDEO: Swinging Little Monkey Card + 2 Masculine Stampin' Up! CASEd Cards

The Stampin' Up! Let's Go Fishing designer paper has a lot of amazing patterns to create masculine cards. I used several patterns to create two cards last month which I CASEd from the Annual Catalog.

If you're not familiar with the term, CASE is another way to say "copy". Traditionally, it is defined as "Copy And Share Everything", but I prefer the definition "Copy And Selectively Edit". Although in this case, I made very few edits and created the card pretty close to the originals  from pages 82 and 101 of the 2023-2024 Stampn' Up! Annual Catalog.

He's All That Card Measurements:
  • 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Night of Navy Cardstock
  • 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" Night of Navy Cardstock, embossed
  • Die Cut pieces from designer paper, Pecan Pie cardstock, and Very Vanilla cardstock
  • 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla Cardstock (inside) with 1" x 4" Designer Paper

I've had my eye on the Scenic Wonders stamp set since the catalog first came out in May. And it's this card that inspired me to get it! I love the simple technique of spotlighting the center of the image by stamping again and layering on a solid color of cardstock.

Scenic Wonders Card Measurements:
  • 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Thick Basic White Cardstock
  • 2-1/4" x 4" Basic White Cardstock
  • 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" Basic White Cardstock
  • 1-7/8" x 1-7/8" Mossy Meadow Cardstock

Many thanks to Janet Siddoway who inspired the next card. She shared this card for the Great, Big Card Swap and I absolutely loved it the moment I saw it and knew that I had to CASE it! The mechanics are fairly simple: there is a hole in the center of the tail that sits over a Stampin' Dimensional that attaches the branch to the background piece. The fussy cut image swings and pivots on the Stampin' Dimensional.

I don't know what Janet used on her card, but I created a hole using the Tailor Made Tag Dies. Watch the replay of Thursday Night Stamp Therapy for tips on how to make this card. The Little Monkey card starts at 41:00.
