Don't you just love a card that has a surprise inside? This Spendid Day surprise is easy to duplicate and so much fun to open! I shared this card during this week's episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie.
When you open this gate fold card, you find an "explosion" of designer paper, which expands and unfolded as the card opens.
Card Measurements:
- 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Sahara Sand Cardstock, scored at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8"
- 4" x 8" Splendid Day Designer Paper, scored at 2", 4", 6", then diagonally according to template below
- 2" x 9-1/2" Splendid Day Designer Paper for Belly Band
- 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" Basic White Cardstock
- 2-5/8" x 2-5/8" Calypso Coral Cardstock
You can either pre-score the diagonal lines or use a bone folder and fold diagonally from each corner to the center fold.

I just love the idea for using DSP for the explosion piece inside. Gives it that extra pop of pizzazz!
