8 Stampin' Up! Notes of Nature Project Ideas + NEW! Nature's Sweetness Project Kit

I wasn't sure about the Nature's Sweetness Suite when I first saw it in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog, but the more that I play with it, the more I love it -- especially the Notes of Nature Bundle! I'm so sad this bundle isn't going to carry over to the new Annual Catalog. Make sure you get it now -- while supplies last!

The first card I made with this suite was inspired by one of the project samples in the catalog. I'm often inspired by those projects created by Stampin' Up! team of Concept Artists. Here's my take on a project shown on page 43 of the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog.

Here is the original project from the catalog. I kept the same layout and many the same elements. The biggest change was the card base. I used Old Olive for my card and I colored the leaves to match with Old Olive Stampin' Blends. I also added some of the Gold Faux Leather Trim and Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds.

Here are more cards that I created with the Notes of Nature Bundle. I had fun weaving the Gold Faux Leather Trim through the die cut borders. I used the same colors on all of my cards: Pecan Pie, Old Olive, and Pebbled Path.

March 2023 Paper Pumpkin: 10 Years of Growth Alternative Projects + Video

Do you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin? In this week's episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie, Mom and I shared alternative project ideas for the March 2023 10 Years of Growth Paper Pumpkin Kit. I love Paper Pumpkin kits because it's perfect for busy crafters like me. Pull it out when you need a quick project and don't have time to design it yourself!

Paper Pumpkin is celebrating 10 years! This project kit subscription service from Stampin' Up! offers professionally designed projects every month...especially designed for new and busy crafters! The March 2023 kit, 10 Years of Growth, celebrates this milestone with a bonus free stamp set! It also included materials to make 9 cards: 3 each of 3 designs.

You can make up the cards exactly as designed to share your message of love with family and friends. But you know me! I love the challenge of using the pieces in the Paper Pumpkin kit to create alternative projects. So of course, I had to make a few projects of my own!

I cut apart all of the card fronts into pieces to used on my cards.

Here's the card that I shared in our Sunday Stamping video. I cut the polka dot card front in half at 2-3/4" to create the front flap for this card. Trim 1/16" off the open end of the Polished Pink cardstock so that the front flap reaches all the way to the bottom.

Here are the panels that you see when you open each part of this card.

Watch the replay of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie for tips on creating these cards and see what Mom created with this Paper Pumpkin kit!

VIDEO: Pop-Up Gift Bag Card Tutorial + Small Gift Bag Template + 4 "From the North Pole" Paper Pumpkin Alternative Projects

Merry Christmas!! Today I am sharing some alternative projects that I made with the November 2022 From the North Pole Paper Pumpkin Kit. I love Paper Pumpkin kits because it's perfect for busy crafters like me. Pull it out when you need a quick project and don't have time to design it yourself!

The From the North Pole Paper Pumpkin Kit included materials to make 12 gift tags. I was so happy I had this kit when I needed some last minute gift tags for a small gift I was giving to friends on a recent lunch date.

But you know me! I love the challenge of using the pieces in the Paper Pumpkin kit to create alternative projects. So of course, I had to make a few projects of my own! I combined the tag kit with the Santa Express Designer Paper to a create a few bonus ideas for you!

Did you get the Paper Pumpkin Add-On (North Pole Sacks)? I used these flat gift bags to create this simple gift card holder by folding the bag in half to create a second pocket. Use designer paper wrapped around the bag to hold the folded bag together.

Here's another alternative card that can hold a gift card! I was inspired by a card that I received from Carmen Melendez that had a pop up gift bag inside. I have seen many Stampin' Up! demonstrators share similar projects in the last year, but I traced it all back to May May Makes It and used her instructions for my project.

Here is the template for the pop-up gift bag. It's so much easier than it looks!! After making it, I think I would shortened the length of the sides just a little...maybe a half inch. I think I'll try this card again for a birthday!

Watch the replay of last week's Thursday Night Stamp Therapy to see how this card comes together.

Gift Bags were the theme of this video. I also created this small gift card inspired by a project in the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. I embellished with a tag from the From the North Pole Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Here is the original catalog project created by Stampin' Up! Concept Artists:

This gift bag is smaller than it looks, but is perfect for a small gift or a set of notecards and envelopes! Here is the template to create this gift bag with the measurements provided by Stampin' Up!
