New Catalog Control Freaks Blog Tour: Sea Street

It's time for another Control Freaks Blog Tour! Whether you're coming from Flowerbug's Inkspot (LeeAnn Greff's blog) or just arriving -- welcome!! I'm so excited about this month's theme! We're showcasing projects using products from the brand new Annual Catalog! Hopefully we'll add a few things to your wish list as you take the tour!

The projects I am sharing this month use the new Sea Street stamp set. The nautical themed stamps are perfect for summer crafting. Paired with the Maritime Designer Series Paper, it's also great for masculine cards!

This first card was inspired by my friend Rachel Chamberlain, who demonstrated this slider card at our Spring Into Stamping meeting in April.
When you pull up on the card, the octopus swims up! I designed this one for a workshop I had earlier this month. Everyone loved it! It looks much more complicated than it is. I hope to film a video tutorial tomorrow, so be sure to check back and I'll show you how to make this slider card.
The second card is one of the three in my Stamp of the Month Club series for June. I used the Aquapainter with some Coastal Cabana ink to create the "water" background.

I have been having so much fun with the Sea Street stamp set! Watch for even more Sea Street project ideas in the upcoming week!
That's all I have for you today! Be sure to come back and visit me again for more new catalog projects and inspiration! For now, it's time to continue on with the tour and head over to see what Justin Krieger at JK Cards has in store for you! I love his clean and simple style!

Very fun...love how the octopus moves up the card! I just did a series of special fold cards using that Sea Street stamp set, too...but be something about it...lol!

Of course...always so inspiring!! Love the Sea Street card with the octopus rising. It's so unique! And the second card is so my style...I see a CASE coming on in the future. ;)
