VIDEO: Stampin' Up! O Holy Night Suite: Stars at Night Christmas Ornaments

We put up our Christmas tree over the weekend! It's a 20 year old artificial tree that loses as many needles as a real tree each year, but still looks so good! The pre-lit lights haven't worked in over a decade, but we string up new lights before we let the kids add ornaments -- a collection of gifted and homemade ornaments from the last twenty years. It's electic and full of memories, which makes it one of my favorite Christmas traditions!

This year, I added some new handmade ornaments that I created using the O Holy Night Suite from the Sept-Dec 2023 Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog. I was inspired by the catalog images to create them and used 3" macrame hoops, ribbon, and 2-3/8" circle punch and paper. 5 Stampin' Up! So Very Merry Projects + Video Tutorials

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to get the Christmas decorations out! I actually made these So Very Merry cards back in the summer -- when this stamp set was first released as an Online Exclusive. I love the stained glass theme in these images -- even though that means I have to do some coloring!

Can you see the background on the white layer? I used embossing paste with the Foursquare Decorative Masks to add some texture.

Here's another card that I created with the So Very Merry Stamp Set for a episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie. My tip for coloring: Use the dark and light Stampin' Blends to color each section of the bird and create a "stained glass" effet without over-complicating the color.

VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Christmas Classics Tear-Away Gift Card Holder

VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Christmas Classics Twist Top Fun Fold Card

I was inspired by a swap card that I received from Linda Vanderspool when I designed my version of this fun fold using the Christmas Classics Bundle and Joy of Christmas Designer Paper for a recent Sunday Stamping video.

From the front, it kind of looks like a Book Bind card, but when you open the card, the front twists on a diagonal and becomes the top of a vertical card.
