Celebrate Today Hot Air Balloon Card FMS #183

I'm over a week late with my reveal, but I am excited to share projects for this month's Stamp of the Month Club featuring the Celebrate Today stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. Here is the first card:

I was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch #183. Sometimes when I start with a sketch, I end up tweaking it and going in a slightly different direction.  I ended up increasing the size of the bottom strip and I extended the foreground image to go all the way to the top of the card. Last Chance Favorites: Little Buddy Birthday

Whew! What a busy week! My taxes are finally done! Claire got her braces on and I had a class on Tuesday and a workshop on Thursday. It's been a whirlwind! I'm moving on to design Stamp of the Month Club projects this morning and next week is all about prepping for Spring Into Stamping -- getting 6 projects ready for 90 demonstrators next Saturday.  Oh, and my hubby is going to be out of town for three days. If I can make it through the next two weeks, a sweet reward is waiting on the other side! My travel documents for the Hawaii incentive trip came this week! I need this vacation more than ever!

I haven't had a lot of time to "process" the Retiring List yet, but I'm excited to clear my shelves and make room for new stamps. FMS182 Clean and Simple Hello Card

I recently found the Freshly Made Sketches blog and have been wanting to play along with their weekly sketch challenge. When I was cleaning up my table from Stamp Club this week, I felt inspired to create this quick card with the latest Freshly Made Sketch #182.

I really wanted to use a die cut word on the small rectangle part of the sketch, but the Hello You Thinlits were too big. This "hello" comes from the All Shook Up Paper Pumpkin Kit (Dec 2014). It goes perfectly with the Birthday Bash Designer paper!

AW39: World of Dreams Spring Birds Card

It's time for another Around the World Challenge! I'm a day late posting, but there's still plenty of time to play along with the design team. This time, the challenge is an inspiration challenge. This photo had me thinking about spring and flowers, so I created a card with some spring birds building a nest.

The main image is from the World of Dreams stamp set. I used some elements from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set from the Occasions Catalog to add some color.

Whooo's Amazing? Owl Top Note Treat Bags

Last week, the volunteer coordinator at my kids' school contacted me about borrowing some hole punches. She wanted to make treat bags for all the volunteers and thought I might have a punch she could use. Do I have a punch she could use!? LOL Um, YES! She sent me the link to an adorable treat bag she was trying to re-create and of course I had everything she needed except for the candy! I pre-cut the Top Notes for her and showed her how to use the punches and adhesive to put it all together.

I was so excited to get an email from her mid-project saying that she was having so much fun! And when she returned the punches, she asked to buy a SNAIL adhesive because she loved it so much! One of my favorite parts of this "job" as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is helping people find the crafty side of their personality. Now that Jaime knows how easy it is to make up little treats like this, I think she'll be excited to take on the next project like this!
