It was hard to pick which stamp sets to feature for Stamp of the Month Club. There are so many great choices in the new Occasions Catalog! After seeing so many gorgeous samples and getting several requests, I picked Oh So Succulent for February. Here is the first of the three cards in this month's card kit. It's clean and simple. I incorporated the Floral Affection Embossing Folder to add some texture.
I wanted to include a banner across the center of the card but instead of the punching the traditional pointed banner ends, I used the Decorative Label Punch for a different look. I cut my banner to 3/4" wide and put the end in the back of the punch like this:
Each month, I feature a different stamp set. Those who participate in February will receive the Oh So Succulent Photopolymer stamp set (or substitute a different set), pre-cut materials to make 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs), printed instructions with a color photo of each card, and Priority Mail shipping. Oh, my lanta.....love, love, love the punch/banner idea. So smart!
Cute card. You are so clever--that's a wonderful idea about using the label punch for the ends of the banner. Can't wait to use that too.
Beautiful, Julie.
I love this card and made it today. It turned out great except that when I used that embossing folder I got some cracking. Do you have any tips to prevent this? Thanks for sharing all your beautiful creations!
Sue Coyne -- I can't figure out how to reply to you via email, but I added a tip to the original blog post that should help reduce the cracking and creasing you are experiencing. I hope it helps!
Thanks Julie! I will give that a try. I'm pretty sure I put the long side through first.
