Paint Play: Happy Birthday Presents Card

I was having so much fun playing with this stamp set earlier this week and I was really digging the Global Design Project Color Challenge (#GDP101), so I made one more card for this week's challenge!

Just like on the Paint Play Butterfly Card, I used a marker to color only part of the smaller flower image to create the gift bow on each present.

 

When I was all done making this card, I had some extra pieces stamped, so I whipped up another card.  Usually, we talk about starting simple and then "stepping up" a card design by adding embellishments. In this case, I "stepped it down" to create a more clean and simple card. Which one do you prefer? Leave me a comment and tell me why!
