Control Freaks Blog Tour: Time to Sale-a-brate

The Sale-a-bration product that I choose to focus on is the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Paper (#138635). Each package includes 2 each of six 12" x 12" designs: white cardstock with a clear embossed pattern on it. There are so many ways to use this emboss resist paper: sponge it, brayer it, spritz it, color with blendabilities...you can even stamp on it! Check out the cards I made.

 

On the first card, I used the Build a Bouquet stamp set (#137166) from the Occasions Catalog to stamp on the polka dot Irresistibly Yours Designer Paper (#138635). I used a tissue to gently rub the ink off the embossed pattern. This set has big, bold images that really make this paper pop! The Build a Bouquet stamp set (#137166) is the one that coordinates with the flower kit. The picture in the catalog does not do this set justice! It's only shown at 50% of the actual size, do you can't tell how BIG the stamps are. The woodgrain stamp, for example, is nearly the size of a standard card front!

In this close-up, you can see the embossed dots all over the front of the card, not just where I stamped. The ribbon on this card comes from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (#138634), another Sale-a-bration gift choice.

I used the same set of supplies for the next card. This time, I brayered Hello Honey ink over the striped Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Paper (#138635). The stamps on this card are also from the Build a Bouquet stamp set (#137166) and the buttons came from the Sale-a-bration Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (#138634).
