April 2022 Paper Pumpkin: 7 Change is Beautiful Alternative Projects + Tutorials

I'm catching up on sharing projects that I created using the April 2022 Change is Beautiful Paper Pumpkin Kit. I love getting Paper Pumpkin project kits in my mailbox each month! Even though Paper Pumpkin projects are professionally designed and ready to complete, I always love the challenge of using the kit pieces in different ways to create alternative projects. 

Thomas, Claire, and I had so much fun creating alternative projects with this kit. Watch our video to see all of the cards we made and hear some tips and background about how we created these cards.

We started with some simple designs, but then updated our game and created several fun folds.

I love this one that Thomas designed -- using a circle a vellum over the stamped caterpillar to create an astronaut caterpillar!

Thomas also created a Pop Up Diorama Card. He was inspired by a card that I created for the Rainbow of Happiness Card Class in April. Watch the tutorial below to learn how to make this fun fold.

While Claire was creating her card, Thomas suggested she try the Bridge Fold Card, which he made in March. I loved watching him talk her through making that card! 

Here is a quick tutorial for the Bridge Card. It's so easy to make! I love that Claire chose to use a Window Sheet for the bridge across the front so that you can still see the scene inside.
While collecting supplies to bring into the kitchen where we were working, Claire saw a Dutch Door Card on my desk and wanted to make her own version.

Watch the replay of my Project Playback video to learn how to make the Dutch Door Card and see my version of it that inspired Claire: After Thomas and Claire started making fun folds, I had to make one too! I love the theme of "change" and I cut apart pieces of one of the kit cards to create this Waterfall Card showing different stages of the flower growing. I love the way it turned out!
