Last Chance Favorite: 7 Stampin' Up! Frosted Forest Card Ideas + 2 Video Tutorials

I used a little bit of the Season of Green & Gold Designer Paper on this card and the Frosted Forest card ideas below.

I stamped on the background of this card and then used a 2-3/8" Circle Punch to cut the window for the greeting. I used the stamped punched piece to layer the tree on the center of the next card. It's hard to see in the photo, but the white cardstock is pre-embossed! Check out the Woodgrain Specialty Paper to add a little texture to your cards!

5 Stampin' Up! So Very Merry Projects + Video Tutorials

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to get the Christmas decorations out! I actually made these So Very Merry cards back in the summer -- when this stamp set was first released as an Online Exclusive. I love the stained glass theme in these images -- even though that means I have to do some coloring!

Can you see the background on the white layer? I used embossing paste with the Foursquare Decorative Masks to add some texture.

Here's another card that I created with the So Very Merry Stamp Set for a episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie. My tip for coloring: Use the dark and light Stampin' Blends to color each section of the bird and create a "stained glass" effet without over-complicating the color.

VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Fond of Autumn Thank You Card with Embossing Paste

I am always inspired by projects in the Stampin' Up! catalog and love to copy them -- or create my own version. I have been eyeing this Fond of Autumn card since the first time I laid eyes on the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. It's a little more "fussy" than I normally create, but I love all the texture and detail! I copied it almost exactly, with the addition of a few more layers.

VIDEO: Christmas Cards with Embossing Paste

Have you been watching my 12 Days of Christmas video series? I have been sharing a new project every day from December 1-12. See the video archive.

Earlier this week, I featured Embossing Paste. I have to admit that I had never completed a card using embossing paste, so it was a little bit of a challenge for me! And I learned a lot! Here are the cards that I made.

For the first card, I used the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks to create a background with the embossing paste. I added a colored image from the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set.

Embossing Paste is also a fun way to add "snow" texture to a winter-themed card like this In the Pines card that I created. I add the embossing paste to the tree die cut as well as the die cut snowhill. Allow the embossing paste to dry completely before you assemble the card.

Here are some more tips from viewers: 

• My embossing paste was definitely thicker than it should have been. In hindsight, I would add more water! The consistency should be creamy.
• Keep the foil cover intact (don't remove it) and use it to re-seal the package when you're done.
