VIDEO: Halloween Witch Hat Treat Box Tutorial

It's been a couple years since I first made this Witch Hat Treat box. I was originally inspired by a project I saw on Stampin' Connection. When I saw the Witch Hat Box again on page 4 of the Holiday Catalog, I knew I had to make it again. The sample in the catalog is decorated beautifully. I took more of a clean and simple approach to my box.

Sale-a-Bration Favorites: Feeling Sentimental

I've been catching up on Thank You cards, Birthday cards, Make & Take packets, Top Sales Recognition cards from my downline, scheduling events, designing new projects....it's been a busy week so far! I don't have anything new of my own to share with you today, so I thought I'd share some of my favorite projects that I saw at Leadership Conference in January.

Stampin' Up! Leadership 2013: Day 2 Highlights

Day 2 of the Stampin' Up! 2013 Leadership Conference was such a whirlwind that I didn't have time to tell you about it until now! I'm back how in the icy tundra of Illinois. My car was half covered in solid ice about 1/4" thick when I left the airport. Boo! I miss Orlando weather, but it's good to be home with my family!

Perhaps the announcement I am most excited about is the one that Shelli saved for the very end -- that we will soon have the ability to add online orders (and digital print orders) to a workshop order. So when you host a party, you can collect orders from friends and family online and have them shipped directly to those people. Woo hoo!!
There were a couple other fun announcements:
  • Single Stamps will be back! With two new assortments of exclusive images! Watch for all the details!
  • To celebrate Stampin' Up!'s 25th anniversary, they will be releasing a new "Best of" stamp set with a new theme each month. The stamp images in each set will popular images from discontinued sets as well as one brand new image. These monthly sets will be just $14.95 US. And even more fun, they are offering a collector's card! When you purchase six of the "Best of" stamp sets this year, you'll get a choose a $14.95 set of your choice from the catalog! So fun! Watch for complete details soon!
As it does every year, Leadership presentations and classes "filled my cup". I was especially inspired by Rich Jutkins, President of Stampin' Up!, speech. He spoke about finding the "pearls" and getting back to the statement of the heart: "To LOVE what we do and SHARE what we love, as we help others enjoy CREATIVITY and worthwhile accomplishments...in this we make a DIFFERENCE."

Saturday was also Barb's birthday. We had the same Prize Patrol bracelet and as they got ready to reveal the winning pattern, she leaned over and said, "Get ready, this one is ours!" and it was!!

Stampin' Up! did not disappoint with all-attendee giveaways either! Everyone in attendance received Silver Glimmer Paper, Designer Build a Brads, Silver Buttons, Tea Charms, AND a brand new un-released stamp set! (That's in addition to the DSP and stamp we got on Friday!) Thankfully, I had room in my suitcase for all of this fabulous loot!
But before it was time to pack my suitcase, I had the pleasure of meeting up with my friend Felicia, a former downline member who recently moved to the Orlando area. We attended Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration Celebration Saturday evening. The Home Office staff were extra silly! We enjoyed a night of stamping presentations featuring Sale-a-bration and Spring Catalog products.

Stampin' Up! Leadership 2013: Day 1 Highlights

It was an exciting first day at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference! Stampin' Up! is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Check out this video to get a peek at your order's journey through the distribution center and some of the highlights of Stampin' Up's first 25 years:

There were two big announcements during General Session.
  • "Dude, You're Welcome": Stampin' Up! is releasing a new stamping kit...for MEN! It's called "Dude, You're Welcome" and was designed by a team of men, for men. They truly thought of everything when they put this one together! Watch for all the details when the kit is available starting on Monday, January 14th!
  • Paper Pumpkin: I am sooo excited about this new monthly project kit subscription membership that Stampin' Up! will be offering! Learn about Paper Pumpkin here. We were thrilled to be given the trial kit and welcome kit as an all-attendee giveaway this morning! Woo hoo!!

The theme this year is finding new customers and my notebook is half full with tips and ideas for attracting new people. I especially enjoyed the beautiful Shannon West's class called "Meet New People, Find New Faces" and her 10 ways for meeting new people. I can't wait to go home and share with my downline!

And of course, we got to watch many stamping presentations, including a evening pajama party, complete with lots of giggles, prizes (for everyone!), and milk & cookies! After a long day, I am pooped and ready for bed!

Here are a few of my favorite projects from the presentations today:

Leadership 2013 Service Project: 2,000 Paper-Crafting Supply Bags for Teachers

Today was check-in day for the 2013 Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference. In keeping with Stampin' Up!’s Silver Anniversary theme of Making a Difference for 25 Years, they set up an assembly line for demonstrators to help put together bags of product for 2,000 Orange County school teachers. Each bag included products such as designer paper, cardstock, ink pads, markers, ribbon, embellishments, and My Digital Studio -- a total value of $375 per bag! Demonstrators could personalize a tag printed from My Digital Studio to tie on to the bag. It was so fun to participate in this service project!

Even Shelli was helping out! She put the bags into boxes and taped them up!
