8 Beautiful Blizzard Projects

While I was at On Stage in Orlando, it was snowing back home in Central Illinois. I can't believe it's the middle of November already! I've been holding off on sharing winter cards so as not to rush through fall, but it's coming up fast! Here are some Beautiful Blizzard cards for you to enjoy if the snow is flying where you are!

Control Freaks Blog Tour: 3 Fall Projects

Whether you are coming from the creative and talented Cindy Elam's blog or just joining us -- welcome to the October 2018 Control Freaks Blog Tour! Our theme this month is Fall! It's one of my favorite seasons! I love the cooler weather and the gorgeous colors of the changing leaves.

Today, I have three projects to share with you today. The first one uses the new Winter Woods stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. I made this card for a challenge that my upline had last month -- to create a card using Brusho. It's been a few months since Brusho debuted and I have to say that I've kind of forgotten about it. But a Brusho Background is perfect for fall! I spritzed water on a piece of watercolor paper and then sprinkled on the Brusho. To help the color spread, I spritzed more water. Allow it to dry thoroughly before you stamp the trees. I suggest using Staz-On ink so that there is no chance of the ink running. If you prefer a bolder image, try heat embossing!

I didn't purchase any of the fall-themed stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog, but I do have the Warm Hearted host stamp set and that's where this "Thanks" comes from. I like this set because it includes sentiments for multiples occasions. You can pick it out with host rewards when you order $150 or host a qualifying party. I used one of my favorite punches, the leaf punch, to accent the stamped sentiment and tie in the leaves from the designer paper.

For my last project, I used the gorgeous new Joyous Noel designer paper. Even though this designer paper is intended to be for Christmas, the colors also work so perfectly for autumn! I decorated this Copper Tin (for the annual catalog) with a 2" x 12" strip of designer paper and used Tear & Tape to stick it back on to itself. I put the seam in the front so I could cover it up with the embellishment. Have you gotten the new Sprig Punch yet? It's so perfect in Copper Foil cardstock. Although the punch is currently on backorder, it should be in stock and start shipping next week. (Note: The Joyous Noel Designer Paper is also backordered and will not ship until around November 5.)

Brusho Background: Petal Palette Card + Video

On Friday, my team had a virtual pajama party on our team Facebook group. We had six different live demonstrations from team members across the country while everyone tuned it from home to watch. It was so much fun and I am so inspired by the creativity and ideas that were shared! Whether you want to make money or just save money on all of your Stampin' Up! purchases, I'd love to have you join our team! And if you sign up during Sale-a-bration (by March 31), you get to choose TWO free stamp sets in your Starter Kit! Learn More

Here's a card that I created a few months ago when I first got my Brusho Crystal Color. I created the background by allowing the colors to run down the cardstock. I like using Watercolor paper or Thick Whisper White cardstock best when I work with Brusho.

Sale-a-Bration Favorite: 6 Beautiful Peacock Projects

Which Sale-a-Bration gift choice is your favorite? There are so many good ones this year, it's hard to decide! One of my favorites that hasn't been getting a lot of attention yet is the Beautiful Peacock stamp set. My favorite thing about this two-step stamp set is that it's so different. It's not just another flower stamp set. I don't have any other peacock stamps, so it adds diversity to my stamp collection.

You'll fall in love with this stamp set too when you check out these six projects created by Stampin' Up! Concept Artist. Choose the Beautiful Peacock stamp set when you order $50 or more during Sale-a-Bration. Learn More.

VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Brusho Tips & Projects

I have a lot of stamps (embarrassingly more than I use)! So when a new catalog is released, I get most excited about the non-stamp things -- like new punches and accessories -- and especially new coloring tools! Brusho Crystal Colour is a new watercolor medium. Use it to create gorgeous backgrounds or to add vibrant color to your stamped images. I created this clean and simple card with the Tags & Trimmings bundle and a simple Brusho background.
