Stampin' Up! Suite Sale Favorites: Charming Floral & Otterly Adorable Fun Fold Card Ideas

If you've been following me for awhile, you know that I find a lot of my creative inspiration from the printed project samples in the printed catalog. So where do I go for inspiration for Online Exclusives? The Online Store! When I am considering a new stamp set -- or after I buy one -- I browse the ideas on the product page in the online store. My card was inspired by a card sample that I found in the Stampin' Up! online store and originally designed by a Stampin' Up! Concept Artist. I made a few changes, but kept the same layout and used the idea of stamping words on the background.

Aren't these otters adorable!?  The inside of my card was inspired by a valentine card that I got from Judi Howard. Thank you so much for the inspiration, Judi! I used the designer paper that looks like a river scene and scored the center for a little pop-up. The end if folded down to create a pocket for a small card to write your message on.

Last Chance Favorite: 7 Stampin' Up! Frosted Forest Card Ideas + 2 Video Tutorials

I used a little bit of the Season of Green & Gold Designer Paper on this card and the Frosted Forest card ideas below.

I stamped on the background of this card and then used a 2-3/8" Circle Punch to cut the window for the greeting. I used the stamped punched piece to layer the tree on the center of the next card. It's hard to see in the photo, but the white cardstock is pre-embossed! Check out the Woodgrain Specialty Paper to add a little texture to your cards!

VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Pick of the Patch Autumn Card + Punch Tip

There are many ways to use Stampin' Up! Decorative Masks (aka stencils). Earlier this month, I shared another fall card that I created with the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks along with some extra project ideas from Stampin' Up!. (See post.) You can use sponge daubers, blending brushes, embossing paste, markers, and other mediums to create unique backgrounds and focal images. For today's card, I used sponge daubers to create a simple color-on-color background for this autumn card featuring the Pick of the Patch bundle from the Sept-Dec 2023 Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog. 

Here's a tip for conserving paper and stamping and punching both pumpkins using the Pick of the Patch Builder Punch at the same time!

• Punch out a piece of scrap cardstock.
• Put the cardstock flat on your work surface.
• Line up the stamps inside the punched cardstock scrap.
• Place the clear block over the stamps to pick them up.
• Stamp & punch!

I changed out the bottom piece and used the new Abundant Beauty Decorative Mask in the card above, but the technique is still the same. Watch the replay of the video tutorial for this card:
