Stampin' Up! Merriest Frames Thinking of You Fall Card + Video with Stampin' Blends Tips

If you follow me regularly, you probably know about my weekly video series with my Mom, Susan LaCroix. Every Sunday, we share new projects using the same products. Mom and I have both been demonstrators for 19 years and during that entire time, we've lived two states away from each other. She's in Michigan and I'm in Illinois. We usually film our video via Zoom and it's a fun way to connect each week.

Recently, Mom and Dad visited and we were able to film together in person. What's even more special is that my daughter Claire joined us! She designed her own project and shared some tips for coloring with Stampin' Blends. Here is Claire's card using the beautiful Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies.

Claire was inspired by project samples in the Mini Catalog and used Stampin' Blends to color the die cut and embossed frame, but chose fall colors instead of Christmas colors. She finished the card off with a heat embossed sentiment that is perfect to send for any occasion!

Stampin' Up! Halloween Penguin Witch Corner Flip Card + VIDEO Tutorial

Shortly after I made this card, the Penguin Builder Punch went on back order and was unavailable, so I waited to share it, but the punch is still not available to order and Halloween is in just TWO days! So if you don't have the punch yet, tuck this idea away for next year!

I actually made a whole set of penguins in Halloween costumes! Which one is your favorite?

Here are the measurements to make this Corner Flip Card:

• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Card Base
• score at 4-1/4"
• slide cardstock back to 3”
• cut 2-1/2" down to 4-7/8”
• Turn the cardstock 90 degrees and line it up at 3” again.
• cut from 3” up to 5/8”
• 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" Designer Paper
• 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White (inside)
• 1" x 4" Designer Paper

Stampin' Creative Blog Hop: 3 Beauty of the Earth Cards

Welcome to the Stampin’ Creative Global Blog Hop! Currently you are visiting Julie Davison from the middle of the United States (Central Illinois to be exact!). This month, my friends from around the world and I are sharing projects with the theme "Nature's Beauty". 

Stampin' Up! has so many amazing stamp sets that fit this theme, but I flipped back to the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog to create some cards with the Beauty of the Earth Suite. This stamp set lends itself well to creating cards for EVERY season! Here are three cards that I created. Leave me a comment and tell me which card you like best!

Card #1: You Truly Inspire Me

• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Mossy Meadow Cardstock
• 1-1/2" x 5" Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper
• 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" Early Espresso Cardstock
• 2-1/2" x 4" Basic White Cardstock
• 2" x 3" Bumblebee Cardstock (to punch)

For the winter card, I stamped the three in Misty Moonlight in the center of the Basic White cardstock and then stamped again on each side without reinking. I added some splatter from Wink of Stella to tie in to the snow in the designer paper.

Card #3: Thinking of You

• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Misty Moonlight Cardstock
• 2-1/2" x 4" Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper
• 2" x 3-3/4" Basic White Cardstock
• 1/2" x 2-3/4" Misty Moonlight Cardstock

The same tree trunk is used on all three cards! Here, the smaller foliage is stamped in Merry Merlot. There is a "two step" stamp with more detail to layer on top, but I prefer the bottom image alone because it has built in shading.

Card #3: I Believe in You

• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Merry Merlot Cardstock
• 4" x 5-1/4" Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper
• 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" Soft Suede Cardstock
• 2" x 3-1/2" Basic White Cardstock
• 1/2" x 2-1/2" Merry Merlot Cardstock
• 1-1/2" x 3" Crumb Cake Cardstock, die cut

Stampin' Up! Simply Elegant Extended Gate Fold Card

Whether you are a regular visitor or just hopping by, welcome to Julie's Stamping Spot! I'm so excited to be participating in the Top Ten International Highlights Winner’s Blog Hop October 2021 hosted by Kylie Bertucci! First, I want to thank you for taking the time to vote for my card in the gallery a couple of weeks ago. There were so many amazing projects and I am honored to have my card receive so many votes!

The project I am sharing today was inspired by another card that I made a couple years ago. It's simple design -- a basic gate fold card with an extra panel on one side.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Stockings Never-Ending Card + Video Tutorial

Do you remember the Cute Halloween Never-Ending Card that I shared last month? Claire saw it on my desk and wanted to make her own version. We worked together to make this card using the Sweet Stockings Designer Paper. I fussy cut the animals from the designer paper and used sentiments from several stamp sets.

Here are the measurements that we used to make this Never-Ending Card:

• (2) 2"x 5-1/2" Basic Black Cardstock
• score at 1-3/8" and 4-1/8"
• (2) 2-3/4" x 4" Basic Black Cardstock
• score at 1" and 3"
