Happy Halloween!! Here's a fun treat I made up with a chocolate Twizzler inside one of our 1x8 cello bags. I used the packing paper that comes in the Stampin' Up! orders and embossed it with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I think I could have made the bristles longer, but you still get the idea!
I saw an image posted on Facebook with a witches broom and the sentiment "Yes, I know how to drive a stick!". Hee hee! Happy Halloween from me and my goblins!
I'm setting up to film a video this afternoon to show you how to make the glittery face on the witch. But I'm adding this dazzling watercolor effect to another project! I'll post it tomorrow, so be sure to check back!
I'm having more fun with the Handmade Holidays Felt Ornaments. (See more projects here.) They are so cute even on their own, so I included them in a little gift box with gift tags and the yummy new Sweater Trim. Have you tried the Sweater Trim yet? It's so soft -- just like a snuggly sweater! You can get it in three different colors: Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White. Really, you're going to watch all three! See?
Wouldn't this make a great gift for a hostess, teacher, or neighbor? Just a little something. And they'll appreciate the chance to add a little handmade touch to their own gift-giving this year. Make sure to check out all the Snow Festival products (the Sweater Trim, Stitched Felt Ornaments, and Snow Festival Designer Paper) in my Online Store here so you can make up your own gift boxes.
The possibilities for this little box are endless! In fact, you may have spotted a few other versions in the catalog, on pages 12 and 56. Check out this video tutorial from Stampin' Up! to learn how to make a gift box like this at home:
For my box, I used the same measurements given in the video. My gift tags were created with a 6" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock folded in half. The Snow Festival Designer Paper on the front of each tag is 2-1/4" x 2-3/4".

Do you ever flip the Stampin' Up! Catalog and stop to wonder, "how did they do that?". Today, I have an answer! Well, that is, if you were wondering about the card on page 105!
The Clockworks card featured on that page includes a tag that looks like stamped metal. The technique is fall Faux Metal and is not that hard with the right tools. Grab your Versamark Pad, Embossing Powder, and Heat Tool and check out this video from Stampin' Up! featuring Shannon West.
We started by using the Festive Paper Piercing Pack to pierce the shape of the ornament on Very Vanilla cardstock. Then, we used the Holiday Ornament Framelits from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog to cut three ornament from the Candlelight Christmas Designer Paper. We folded each one in half, with the side we wanted to show on the inside of the fold. Then we adhered the folded ornaments together and adhered it into the pierced snowflake on the vanilla cardstock. A little embossing folder and greeting later and the card is finished!
When you've been a demonstrator for over ten years like I have, there comes a point when you can bring back projects that you did in the past and there are new eyes to show it to! I've made several versions of this project over the years (click here to see one from 2009) and was inspired to make it again when I saw Heidi Boos post her versions. I'm CASEing her, CASEing me!
We made this last month in Stamp Club.
Updated, 10-25-12: More Single Stamps now available, including three never-seen-before designs!! (See flyers below.)
Have you ever bought a larger stamp set for only one stamp? Maybe you haven't because you didn't want the whole set, but you wished you could buy just that one stamp...
Stampin' Up! is trying out something new! We're excited to offer you the chance to buy single pieces from these select stamp sets: Word Play, Perfectly Penned, and Seasonal Sayings. The offer will be available now through January 2, 2013.
These Single Stamps are available on any type of order (online or workshop/party)
You can find the stamp item numbers on the flyers listed below.
These won't be sent to you in our typical cases or packaging;
they'll be packaged in cello bags. If you'd like a case for your stamp,
you can buy our Clear-Mount Stamp Cases that come in packs of four (item 119105).
This offer is available for clear-mount stamps only.
The stamps don't come with a Clear-Mount Block, so you'll need to
purchase a block separately if you don't already have one. NOTE: The
recommended block sizes can be found on the flyers.
There's no limit on how many pieces you can buy.
This is a pilot program, so take advantage of it while you can!
Here's another card we made in Stamp Club this month. I was inspired by a sample in a recent issue of our demonstrator magazine, Stampin' Success. It's definitely a go-to resource for me when I need an idea for an upcoming event. I also love our demonstrator website, Stampin' Connection, where demonstrators upload their latest and greatest projects to share. Have you ever considered joining the Stampin' Up! family? Be sure to watch next week...I think there may be a special offer around the corner!
This card uses another stamp from the Word Play stamp set. I love that you can now purchase Single Stamps from a few Stampin' Sets, including this one. So if you just want THIS stamp and not the rest, no problem! Click here to learn more about the limited time Single Stamps offer.
Stampin' Up! Supplies: Gently Falling, Word Play, Old Olive ink, More Mustard ink, Cajun Craze ink, Early Espresso ink, Very Vanilla cardstock, Labels Framelits (Big Shot), Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Gold Smooch Spritz, Stampin' Dimensionals
Have you tried the new Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad from Stampin' Up! yet? I think it gets kind of lost and overlooked in the Holiday Catalog, but it definitely deserves some attention. This new ink pads adds a luminescent shimmer to stamped images. Check it out on this Snowflake Soiree card! I used it as a background with small snowflakes on the Pool Party cardstock and also on the Island Indigo cardstock under the die cut snowflake.

Click here to find them in my Online Store.)I love how the Be of Good Cheer Designer Paper just goes perfectly with it! The coordinating colors are Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green.
The inside greeting is from Word Play and I just love that Stampin' Up! has made it possible to purchase individual stamps from this set now! The whole set is great, but if you don't want it all, you can pick and choose your favorites. Click here to learn more about Single Stamps from Stampin' Up!.
We used the Stampin' Dazzle Marker to trace over the lines of the ornament after we stamped it in Early Espresso. WOW!! These markers are so smooth. I was expecting the typical paint pen that would have blotchy results, but it is not like that at all! They are so smooth and easy to use. And only $3.50. You really need them both! (Gold #128979 and Silver #128978)

Whenever I design a new project, I always end up with a rough draft and then make some improvements or I try out this punch or layer with that paper. Inevitably, I end up with card pieces leftover and I hate to just toss them out. This card was made with some of the leftover pieces that were on my desk when I finished designing the Comfort Cafe Designer Frame. (Click here to view the frame.)

Sometimes you have to disconnect to find your sanity. My week-long break from blogging helped me to focus on some other tasks that I had long been neglected -- like finishing my 2011 tax return and cleaning my office. I think my laptop crashing was a sign that I needed to go offline for awhile!
I have lots to share with you, so I'm just going to jump right in! I have been loving all of the Printer's Tray projects that I've seen since the recruiting promotion in August. (See the Halloween Printer's Tray here.) So I decided to come up with my own!
Do you love it!? I need to figure out the logistics of shipping (finding a box to fit the 12x12 frame), so I hope to offer this as a kit or as a finished frame sometime next month. In the meantime, if you're local, you can come and make your own!
Cost is $28 and includes all materials, included printer's tray frame. Bring your own photos and add them later at home. This gorgeous frame would make an ideal gift for family, teachers, or friends this holiday season.
