550K Blog Candy

I had the awesome privilege of meeting a blog fan over the weekend! Kathryn from Bourbonnais was in town visiting her family and emailed me about the 2011 Desk Calendars I created with My Digital Studio. She stopped by to say hello and pick one up. Thanks for coming by, Kathryn! I hope next time we'll have more time for stamping!

As I was getting the calendars out for Kathryn, I realized how many I still had left and thought it would be the perfect thing to give away for blog candy! And since the hit counter passed the 550,000 mark over the weekend, it's time for some blog candy RIGHT NOW!!

Thank you Kathryn, and everyone else, for "following" me and allowing me to share my stamping journey with you!

I'll be giving away TWO of these 2011 Desk Calendars. (Want your own? Click here for all the details to purchase your own calendar.) To be eligible for the blog candy, please leave on a comment on THIS post with your name tell me where you're from! City & State or Country. Anyone else from Illinois? (And by the way, I'm willing to travel for workshops!) I'll use random.org to pick two winners on Friday, February 4th at Noon.

For my record more than anything else, here are the latest blog stats, as of today, 1-31-11:
Days Blogging: 981
# of Posts: 885
# of Hits: 551,135
Stamping Top 500 Rank: 79

Build a Cupcake Birthday Card

In an effort to spend less money, I decided to get the new Build a Cupcake punch and NOT buy the coordinating Create a Cupcake stamp set. It's really taking all my will power to not break down to buy it, but I figured I could make cute cupcakes even without the coordinating stamps. I am pleased with my first attempt.

The designer paper (Subtles Patterns Pack) mimics the sprinkles and I ran the cardstock through the paper crimper before I punched the cupcake wrapper.

Supplies: On Your Birthday, Rose Red ink & cardstock, Pretty in Pink cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Subtles Patterns DSP, Build-a-Cupcake Punch, Rhinestone Jewel Accents, Crimper, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimesionals
