This or That? I was inspired by a sample in the Stampin' Up! January-June 2022 Mini Catalog to create THIS card -- and then created a second version (THAT) if an extra piece of designer paper.
I used the Everygreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the New Horizons Designer Paper and then add color with the Blending Brush and Old Olive ink. Watch the replay of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie below to see this technique in action.

One of my favorite bundles in the January-June Mini Catalog is the Grassy Grove bundle. I love the die with the frame of trees. It's so beautiful and easy to add some New Horizons Designer Paper for the backdrop. See More Cards.

One of my favorite suites in the January-June 2022 Stampin' Up! mini Catalog is the New Horizons Suite. I love the 6" x 6" Designer Paper -- watercolor images that are the perfect backdrop for creating cards with many different stamp sets!
Today's cards were inspired by card samples created by Stampin' Up! Concept Artists for the mini catalog. For the first card, I embossed the designer paper with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder and then highlighted the embossed image with Blending Brushes and Old Olive ink.
Here's another version of the same card. I trimmed the designer paper down and changed the layout. Which card base color do you prefer? Old Olive or Misty Moonlight? Leave a comment and let me know!

Here are a few more cards that I created with the New Horizon Suite that were also inspired by samples in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. I love how easy it is to layer die cut and stamped images to create beautiful cards!

There is a new theme for the Great Big Card Swap every month and even though we recently had "flowers" and "animals" as a theme, I still chose "nature" for April because there are so many amazing new products that fit that theme: Waves of Inspiration, Rainbow of Happiness, and of course, the New Horizons Designer Paper.
This gorgeous watercolored 6" x 6" paper was a popular choice on many of the cards in the first round of April Great, Big Card Swap cards. I also used a piece for the background of this Grassy Grove card. See more projects using the New Horizons Designer Paper.

We had a great variety of cards and many unique fun folds for the first April video showcase. Watch the Great, Big Card Swap Showcase: April 2022 Part 1 to see over 65 "nature" cards!
Ready to jump in and participate in the next Great, Big Card Swap?
How does it work? "Send a card! See them all! Get one back!"
It's sounds simple because it is! You create a regular full-size card for the monthly theme. Include a return postage stamp and a sticky note message inside. (I'll provide the return envelopes.) If you're sending ahead for the next month's theme, make sure to write the month on the envelope so I know to hold it for that month.
I will showcase all of the cards in a video so you can see what everyone else created and then I'll send them back! Everyone who sends a card will get one back!
Write "[Month] Card Swap" on the the envelope if sending for a future theme.
Include return postage stamp. Envelopes will be provided. (Please do NOT include custom envelopes with your card.)
Don't write inside! Include a sticky note or loose paper to say hello.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Who can participate in this swap? EVERYONE! This swap is open to all stampers, including Stampin' Up! demonstrators.
Can I use retired or non-Stampin' Up! products? Yes! I want EVERYONE to participate regardless of their paper-crafting collection! I will sort cards before swapping so that stampers who do use current Stampin' Up! product will get cards with current Stampin' Up! product in return.
Can I send more than one card? Please limit to one swap card per person per month.
Can I sign the back of my card? Yes! Please leave the inside blank so the person who receives your card can send it on and bless someone else. But feel free to include your usual maker marking on the back.
What happens if my card doesn't arrive in time? Postal transit times are unpredictable. If your card arrives late, don't worry! I will showcase it in the next showcase video and make sure that you get a return swap!
I would love for you to include a note inside the card -- a little about yourself or just a happy greeting to the person who gets your card. Please note, I will remove any solicitations (business cards, business links, etc.)
Attention International Stampers! I would love for you to participate in this swap! Use this Paypal link to pay $5 USD for 3 return postage stamps. (I'll hold them with your name on them to use for future swaps.) I'm worried about transit times, so be sure to mail early or work ahead one month! Mark your envelope with the month/theme you intend to submit the swap.
Privacy Statement: During the showcase video (posted on YouTube and Facebook), I will provide the first and last name of the card maker. If you prefer to be anonymous or only mentioned by first name, please let me know in a written note inside your card. Although I am entering mailing addresses in a spreadsheet, it is for the sole purpose of generating return address labels. Your information will not be shared or sold to a third party, including another swapper. I will never personally use your information for any other reason besides sending return cards for The Great, Big Card Swap.

One of my favorite bundles in the new Stampin' Up! January-June 2022 Mini Catalog is Grassy Grove. I'm obsessed with the silhouette dies and the easy-to-layer stamp images. As I often am, I was inspired by a project sample in the catalog to create this card. In fact, I CASEd it exactly as it was in the catalog!
The New Horizons Designer Paper makes for a quick and easy background. I die cut the forest from Basic White cardstock and then colored the trees with Stampin' Blends.
