VIDEO: Tri-Shutter Card Tutorial

Yesterday, I shared a fall themed Tri-Shutter Card for the Control Freaks Blog Tour. I have seen these cards many times before and never made one. Honestly, the cutting and scoring intimidated me! But when I got one as a swap at Founder's Circle, I decided to try it myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's not as hard as it looks!

Here's a Christmas version of the Tri-Shutter card. I designed this one for my Stamp of the Month Club. Club members will receive the Clear Mount Christmas Collectibles stamp set along with three completely finished hand-stamped cards (including this one) in the mail later this month. Check out my video tutorial below and I'll show you how to make some simple cuts and scores to create the foundation of the Tri-Shutter card. Then be sure to come back and see more samples later this week!

I've long been intrigued by these tri-shutter cards. Your video demo makes them fairly simple. Thanks!

If I'm doing my math right, the card ends up being 4" by 5.5" right? So that means it fits in a medium envelope, yes? Can't WAIT to make one!!
