Earlier this week, I did a Facebook Live demonstration of my Gather Together cards for Stamp of the Month Club and I shared the technique of inking up the embossing die before die cutting. During the live, one of my stamping friends suggested trying a baby wipe technique to add multiple colors. I was inspired by her comment to use the Stampin' Write markers directly on the die and the results were stunning!!
Here is the finished card. Since I already had my Gathered Together cards out, I just copied the layout from this card and changed the colors. What do you think?
For my leaf, I used Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, and Merry Merlot to color directly on the die. You'll want to work quickly and die cut right away because the ink dries fast! I tried coloring two and then die cutting and the first one when was drying out by the time I was ready to die cut.
Check out my video to see more Gather Together cards and this technique of inking and markering on the embossing dies and then give it a try at home!
