VIDEO: Stampin' Up! In Color Faux Quilt Card + Bonus In Color Ideas

I am in love with the 2025-2027 Stampin' Up! In Colors! I love the all individually, but I really love the way the five colors work together! Mom and I featured the In Colors in an episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie and I designed this Faux Quilt Card using all five colors: Cloud Cover, Secrete Sea, Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, and Darling Duckling.

This card was inspired by, who sent me a similar card with the 2024-2026 In Colors. At first, I thought it looked like a lot of complicated cutting, but the little white squares in the corners make it easy to create the star design. To give it a quilted look, I embossed with the Perfect Plaid and Eyelet Embossing Folders. Which design do you prefer?

Card Measurements
  • 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Cloud Cover Cardstock, scored at 4-1/4"
  • 3" x 3" Basic White Cardstock
  • 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" Secret Sea Cardstock
  • (4) 1/2" x 4-1/4" Cardstock Strips
  • (4) 3/4" x 3/4" Basic White Squares

6 Stampin' Up! Otterly Adorable Card Ideas + Video Tutorials

We are getting ready for another Last Chance Clearance Rack update -- coming Tuesday, August 5th -- so today I wanted to highlight one of my favorite designer papers currently on the Last Chance List. It's discounted and now available for 50% off! Unfortunately, the coordinating stamp and die bundle has already sold out, but the designer paper includes many adorable otters that you can cut out for focal points on your card. In fact, ALL of the otters on these five cards are from the designer paper.

Whether you use the Otterly Adorable Designer Paper or other images, I hope these cards inspire to stamp today!

I designed the first card for a Sunday Stamping video. It's a Pop-Up Diorama Card. When you open the card, the inside opens into a a small diorama with a recessed window.  Try using other shapes or dies to make the diorama window bigger. See More Pop-Up Diorama Cards

  • 1/2" x 3" Old Olive Cardstock (inside)

Here's another fun fold card that I create with the Otterly Adorable Designer Paper. This fold was inspired by a card that I received for the Great, Big Card Swap from Anne Telecky. It uses a long piece of designer paper as the base for the card. You can create four card bases from one sheet of designer paper.

The last card was created by Stampin' Up! Concept Artists. They used the designer paper scene for the background of the card and then added a shaker frame on top.

How to Make a Shaker Card:
  • Use the Textured Notes Dies layered together to create a skinny frame or cut the center out of a rectangular piece of cardstock with your Paper Trimmer.
  • Attach a piece of window sheet behind the frame.
  • Add your shaker element to the center of the card. (This card uses the Riverside Irregular Pearls with the adhesive dot removed.)
  • Then, use Adhesive Foam Strips to attach the frame to the card so that there is room for the elements to "shake".

VIDEO: Tips for Using Two-Tone Cardstock + 3 July 2025 Online Exclusives Card Ideas

VIDEO: Tips for Using Two-Tone Cardstock + 3 July 2025 Online Exclusives Card Ideas | www.juliedavison.com #stampinup

Stampin' Up! offers Two-Tone Cardstock is ALL colors! This 12" x 12" cardstock is a white-core paper with two different tones of the same color printed on each side. It's lighter than Stampin' Up!'s traditional cardstock making it ideal to layer and for scrapbooking. And for one more day (July 9-11, 2025), you can save 20% on all Two-Tone Cardstock! Shop Now
In this week's livestream, I shared tips for using the Two-Tone Cardstock for card-making. Try these techniques at home using any Two-Tone Cardstock!

The first card using he new Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder. Because Two-Tone Cardstock has a white cord, you can emboss and then use sand paper to gently rub over the embossed image and reveal the white cardstock to highlight the image. Here's my finished card:

After my video, Claire mused about what it would look like if we colored the flower, so I gave her my extra sanded piece and she colored with Stampin' Blends and Stampin' Write Markers! I turned it into a card and added an extra layer of Very Vanilla behind the embossed cardstock. WOW!!!

I also used some sanding paper on the second card using the Prairie Grass cardstock. I started by crumpling the cardstock. Since it is lighter weight than regular cardstock, it's easier to crumple and add texture. I highlighted the texture by lightly sanding the cardstock again.

Prairie Grass Card Measurements:
  • 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Crumb Cake Cardstock
  • 2" x 4-1/2" Garden Green Two-Tone Cardstock
  • 2-1/2" x 3" Very Vanilla Cardstock
  • 1/2" x 3-1/2" Garden Green Two-Tone Cardstock (greeting)
  • 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla Cardstock
Another fun technique with Two-Tone Cardstock is to tear and reveal the white core. I alternated between the light and dark sides of Basic Black Two-Tone Cardstock to create the layered background for this Halloween card. I love that it gives a "mummy" vibe -- perfect for our Spooky Sweet Designer Paper image!
