The first card was made with the card base for the gate fold card. I followed the instructions to stamp two trees bottom to bottom to create a larger canopy. There are lightly printed "flowers" with yellow centers that help you line up the stamp over the top.
I personally do not like the cut of the gate fold. I think it's too shallow and the card doesn't stay closed, so I cut off the part with the stamped tree and put it on an Old Olive card base. I cut 1/4" off each side of the tree piece.
Additional Supplies Used: Old Olive Cardstock, Crushed Curry Cardstock,
Early Espresso Ink Pad, 1-1/2" Circle Punch
Early Espresso Ink Pad, 1-1/2" Circle Punch
I used the rest of the kit card base to make this card. I simply added a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Soft Sea Foam and glued it to the flap of the card to create a new card front.
Additional Supplies Used: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, Shaded Spruce Ink Pad
I like the Z Fold Card! (Note that it doesn't come folded "backwards". You have to flip it around and then fold back.) I decided it would be fun to turn this card base into a gift box! I added a few score lines and created two side pieces to make this gift box for my Mom. The box opens on the top and the patterned flap tucks inside the Mint Macaron strip at the bottom to keep it closed.
I used the Dark Rococo Rose Stampin' Blend to color the Frosted Flowers Embellishments.
Additional Supplies Used: Mint Macaron Ink Pad & Cardstock,
Memento Black Ink Pad, Frosted Flower Embellishments
Additional Supplies Used: Whisper White Cardstock, Shaded Spruce Ink Pad & Cardstock
My first attempt to stamp the tree on the gate fold card wasn't pretty, so I cut it off and turned it over to make this winter card. I colored the back side of the bird die cut and added it to the tree. I love the way the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon looks "snowy"!
Additional Supplies Used: Real Red Cardstock, Early Espresso Ink Pad,
Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon
For my last card, I focused on just the stamp set. I am obsessed with this tree image! The only thing I added from the kit was a die cut bird (after coloring the back side). I made this card with two different color combinations. Which one do you like better?
Additional Supplies: Label Me Fancy Label, Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon
Colors: (Top) Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Soft Suede, (Bottom) Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Soft Suede
