The Pattern Party Host Designer Paper is a giant pack of 48 12" x 12" sheets that includes 4 sheets each of 12 different double-sided patterns. One side if full color with patterns that coordinate with many Annual Catalog stamp sets. And back side of each design is a classic black and white pattern. You can choose this exclusive paper pack when you host a part or place a personal order that is over $150!
I love a good card layout! When Mom and I decided to showcase the Pattern Party Host Designer Paper for our Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie video this week, I knew I wanted to show off as many patterns as I could using a card layout. Here's what I created:
I turned the paper over and flipped the card layout on it's side!
This layout is great for showcasing two patterns of coordinating designer paper. You can create this layout with ANY paper, embossed cardstock, or stamped image panel. Here are the measurements that I used:
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Card Base
1-1/2" x 5" Designer Paper
2" x 5" Designer Paper
1" x 3-1/4" Accent Color Cardstock

When I first saw the Pansy Petals Suite in the Annual Catalog, I was a little overwhelmed. I'm a "clean and simple" kind of stamper and having a set with so many different pieces left me wondering where to start.
Whenever I feel stuck, I just turn to the Annual Catalog for inspiration and start CASEing. To CASE means to "Copy And Share Everything" although I prefer the definition "Copy And Selectively Edit". I did make a few changes to some of the projects as I copied them. See if you can spot the differences!
This first project was inspired by the gift bag. I kept many elements and turned it into a card. This is one way to use the Pansy Patch bundle -- die cut detailed images and layer them to create the complete flower image. This tag includes 16 individual die cut pieces (not including the tag)!
Another way to use the Pansy Patch bundle is to stamp and die cut. Each of the flower images includes 4 layers that you can customize with different colors to make pansies in every shade! I'm not going to lie...this card was also tedious with 10 die cut pieces!
This card is a little more my usual speed with the designer paper doing the heavy lifting and a single stamped and die cut flower used as an accent.
I love this next card and copied it exactly as it was in the catalog. This sample caught my eye when I felt looked at the Annual Catalog. The flowers and leaves are die cut from the designer paper! I love that you can get the look of professionally colored flowers without all the fuss!
Which of these cards best fits YOUR stamping style? Leave a comment below and let me know!
After CASEing the catalog projects, it was my turn to create something original to share last week for our mother-daughter stamping video series: Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie. I stuck with the die cut designer paper flowers and dressed them up with a fun fold card.
Here are the measurements that I used to create this Pansy Patch Double Z Fold Card:
4-1/4" x 11" Polished Pink Cardstock, scored at 5-1/2" and 8-1/4"
3-1/4" x 10" Evening Evergreen Cardstock, scored at 4-1/2" and 7-1/4"
3" x 4-1/4" Pansy Patch Designer Paper
3" x 2-1/2" Pansy Patch Designer Paper
3" x 2-1/2" Basic White Cardstock
1/2" x 2-1/2" Pansy Patch Designer Paper

The first month of The Great, Big Card Swap was a huge success!! I received over 100 gorgeous cards from stampers across the United States (27 states) plus one from Canada! Wow! Watch the video showcase for June 2021: New Stampin' Up! Catalog theme to see all of the cards.
Ready to jump in and participate in the next Great, Big Card Swap?
How does it work? "Send a card! See them all! Get one back!"
It's sounds simple because it is! You create a regular full-size card for the monthly theme. Include a return postage stamp and a sticky note message inside. (I'll provide the return envelopes.) If you're sending ahead for the next month's theme, make sure to write the month on the envelope so I know to hold it for that month.
I will showcase all of the cards in a video so you can see what everyone else created and then I'll send them back! Everyone who sends a card will get one back!
July 2021 Theme: Birthday
Cards must be received by July 22, 2021
•Send Full Size Card
•Write "July Card Swap" on Envelope
•Include return postage stamp. Envelopes will be provided.
•Don't write inside! Include a sticky note or loose paper to say hello.
August 2021 Theme: Designer Paper
Send Cards to:

Frequently Asked Questions:
Who can participate in this swap? EVERYONE! This swap is open to all stampers, including Stampin' Up! demonstrators.
Can I send more than one card? Yes! Each card should be different and you should include a return stamp for each card.
Can I use retired or non-Stampin' Up! products? Yes! I want EVERYONE to participate regardless of their paper-crafting collection! I will sort cards before swapping so that stampers who do use current Stampin' Up! product will get cards with current Stampin' Up! product in return.
Can I sign the back of my card? Yes! Please leave the inside blank so the person who receives your card can send it on and bless someone else. But feel free to include your usual maker marking on the back.
What happens if my card doesn't arrive in time? Postal transit times are unpredictable. If your card arrives late, don't worry! I will showcase it in another weekly video and make sure that you get a return swap!
I would love for you to include a note inside the card -- a little about yourself or just a happy greeting to the person who gets your card. Please note, I will remove any solicitations (business cards, business links, etc.)
Attention International Stampers! I would love for you to participate in this swap! Use this Paypal link to pay $5 USD for 3 return postage stamps. (I'll hold them with your name on them to use for future swaps.) I'm worried about transit times, so be sure to mail early or work ahead one month! Mark your envelope with the month/theme you intend to submit the swap.
Privacy Statement: During the showcase video (posted on YouTube and Facebook), I will provide the first and last name of the card maker. If you prefer to be anonymous or only mentioned by first name, please let me know in a written note inside your card. Although I am entering mailing addresses in a spreadsheet, it is for the sole purpose of generating return address labels. Your information will not be shared or sold to a third party, including another swapper. I will never personally use your information for any other reason besides sending return cards for The Great, Big Card Swap.
The Great, Big Card Swap is organized by Julie Davison, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 2002.
