Last week, I recreated the Twist Gate Fold, which I first made back in 2018. (See more samples) This card was originally inspired by Dawn Olchefske. It looks complicated, but it's very easy! Check out my template below! Here is my new version using the Sweet as a Peach bundle -- which is on sale this month as part of the Savings are in Bloom special!
Twist Gate Fold Card Measurements
- 4 ¼” x 7 ½” Card Base
- (2) 2 ¼” x 3-7/8” Designer Paper
- 2 ¼” x 4” White (inside)
Twist Gate Fold Card Directions:
Score card base at 2-1/2" and 5" to create three panels. On the first and third panel, score from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. (See diagram.) Fold the panel in and the diagonal out to form the card base. Use a Bone Folder to get a good crease on all of the folds.
To decorate the front, use two pieces of coordinating designer paper that are 3-7/8" x 2-1/4" each. Cut them in opposite directions from corner to corner. Adhere designer paper to the front and under flaps of the card and embellish as desired. Make sure to apply adhesive only on part of the embellishments so that card does not get glued closed!
