6 Stampin' Up! Simply Succulent Projects

I don't usually like intricate dies because I don't like poking out all of the pieces, but this background it just too beautiful! I created this card when I first got the Simply Succulent bundle back in November (during On Stage Pre-Order). I don't love to color, so I kept this relatively simple with some monochromatic stamping: Pear Pizzazz on Soft Sea Foam cardstock.

Isn't this sentiment the best? "Kind people are my kind of people." I love our stamping community over on Facebook: Julie's Stamping Spot: Share & Connect Group. It's a great place to do just that -- share your artwork and connect with other stampers. I love the way everyone encourages each other. I hope you'll come over and hang out with us!

Snowflake Sentiments Christmas Card

Here's another card that I designed for my big Christmas Card class in October. I love the little peek of the silver foil snowflakes. I cut them in half to get the most out of the package. Since there are 24 snowflakes (half silver, half gold) in one package for $6, I had enough for 48 cards!

These are my go-to colors for winter cards! Soft Sky, Marina Mist, and Night of Navy is the perfect monochromatic combo!

Invisible Spotlight Card with Stampin' Up! So Very Grateful

The So Very Grateful stamp set from the Stampin' Up! 2014 Occasions Catalog is an outline stamp set that just begs to be colored. And it's gorgeous! (See another example here.) But I wanted to try something less fussy with this set, so I decided to do a monochromatic card. After it was finished, I felt like it needed something else, so I added an "invisible spotlight". I stamped the image in the same color and punched it out (in this case, I used the Butterfly Punch) and then popped it up over the stamped image in the same place. The result is a subtle emphasis that almost seems "invisible".

Here is the inside of the card. I ended up using every single stamp from this stamp set!

Stampin' Up! Supplies: So Very Grateful stamp set, Crisp Cantaloupe ink & cardstock, Basic Black ink & cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Label Framelits (Big Shot), Butterfly Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals
