Fall Framed Samplers Featuring Beauty of the Earth and Blackberry Beauty Designer Papers

I was so honored to be a planned stop on Toni Shaw and Jean Hoffman's stamping road trip earlier this month. Toni and Jean are from Pennsylvania and New York and drove half way across the country to visit stamping friends in the Midwest. We met online, so it was such a treat to get to visit with them in person and spend some time crafting.

We got out stamps, ink, and paper and designed our own fall samplers. We each made two 8' x 8" samplers, but they all turned out different. I forgot to get a close-up photo of all of them before we left for dinner.

Here are the samplers that I designed. Clean and simple! I used designer paper from Beauty of the Earth along with the Beauty of Tomorrow bundle for the stamps and die cut leaves. The Mossy Meadow cardstock is 8" x 8" and the squares are 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" layered on to 3" x 3" squares.

For the second one, I used the Blackberry Beauty Designer Paper and Ephemera Pack. The sentiment on this one comes from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set from the Annual Catalog. The base is 8" x 8" Rich Razzleberry Cardstock. Other measurements: (Left Side) 3-1/4" x 3-1/2" Cinnamon Cider Cardstock, 2" x 3-1/4" Designer Paper (Right Side) 1" x 3-1/4" Designer Paper, 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" Designer Paper

Toni and Jean brought me an amazing gift -- a "taste of home" and handmade gift bag, which I plan to repurpose in my craft room! We are using the Spiedie Sauce for our steak dinner tonight! 12 Alternative January 2021 Sending Hearts Paper Pumpkin Projects

Do you send Valentine's Day cards? I don't usually send them to family and friends, but this year, I am! I want to make sure they know I am thinking of them and that they are loved! The January 2021 Sending Hearts Paper Pumpkin kit is perfect for making cards to send to family and friends! 

Even though the projects are professionally designed and ready to complete, I always love the challenge of using the kit pieces in different ways to create alternative projects. Here's what I came up with the using the January 2021 Sending Hearts Kit:

One way to consider the patterned card bases is to cut them in half and adhere the card front to a solid piece of cardstock. I cut smaller pieces of the card front to use on these cards.

Don't forget to decorate the inside!

Since I made a sampler with the Christmas kit and the Halloween kit, I decided to make one for Valentine's Day. This one is SUPER simple since I used the big pieces from the kit and cut two pieces from the Poppy Parade card base (1" x 3-1/4" and 2" x 3-1/4"). I spaced them all out on a 8" x 8" piece of Basic Black cardstock

One of the first things that I thought of doing with the heart stamp is making a butterfly! I trimmed down the tag to round the sides for the butterfly body. 

Same layout, different focal image. I stamped row of snails and used the die cut snail from the Little Love Boxes Add-On to highlight the "hi valentine" sentiment. Which color variation do you prefer: Petal Pink or Poppy Parade?

This Paper Pumpkin Kit was Valentine cards, so Paper Pumpkin released a coordinating add-on kit that includes materials to make 20 treat boxes with 24 die cut tags and 24 die cut snails. I love these cute little snails and all of the work is done for you! (They also coordinate perfectly with the Snail Mail Suite from the January-June Mini Catalog. Here's a simple way that I decorated the box by adding a 1-1/2" Pool Party circle and a white twine bow.

Here's another set of simple cards that I created with the cute snails! I think I will give the black card to my hubby and the lighter card to one of the kids. Which one do you like best?

Every other week, I do a creative challenge with my team. We usually focus on a card layout. Here's the card that I made for this week's challenge.

Here's the sketch that I used for this card.

I try to limit the extra supplies that I use when I create alternative projects. For this kit, I add solid color cardstok (in the coordinating colors: Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, and Basic Black) and the Heart Punch Pack.

I've been making an effort to decorate the insides of all of my cards instead of leaving them blank. For this card, I created a simple pop-up! The 3" x 3" square (with 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" patterned cardstock) is attached to the 1" x 4" pop up piece. (Score every inch.) Check out my video below to see how to assemble the pop up (around 23:00).

VIDEO: New Mini Catalog Sneak Peeks + On Stage Highlights

Last weekend, Stampin' Up! held its annual On Stage conference for demonstrators worldwide...virtually! I was disappointed, but not surprised when Stampin' Up! cancelled the in-person event earlier this year. And just like everything else this year, although I missed seeing my friends in person, there were some really great perks to doing the conference online -- like watching from the comfort a couch in leggings and a t-shirt! 

With two full days of stamping presentation and business training, I decided to rent a local airbnb so that I could relax and focus on the conference without interruption. It was like a mini retreat (but without the cross-country travel!)

Here are some highlights from the virtual event. If you are a demonstrator and have the opportunity to attend a virtual Stampin' Up! event in the future, I would highly recommend it!

We kicked off the event on Thursday Night with a recognition and stamping that started with some star-studded entertainment by Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo! In between recognizing career sales milestones, anniversaries, annual achievements, and top performers, we enjoyed stamping presentations from Million Dollar Achievers showcasing the same sets that they helped design. My favorite was Dena Rekow's Pretty Perennials stamp set. I can't wait to order this one!

And Jackie Bolhouis' Happy Thoughts greeting stamp set.

The highlight of the night for me was being recognized as a Top Performer in the Global 100. Out of 60,000 demonstrator worldwide, I was #48 last year for my overall balance of personal sales, team building, and leadership! Later I found out, that I was also:

The focus of On Stage is the release of the new January-June Mini Catalog. We also got lots of sneak peeks of the Sale-a-Bration offering that launches at the same time. 

Makes and takes were a little different this year. Stampin' Up! allowed us to order the Dandy Garden Suite early so that we could create projects with new product. They provided a list of supplies for us to prepare and then we followed along as Donna Griffin from the Home Office demonstrated three projects.

I cut enough pieces to make two of each card. Here's another version of one of the make and takes that I made later that night:

I also created this 5" x 7" framed sampler. It's super easy! Each of the squares is 2" x 2" and then I did some simple stamping and punching. I love the way it turned out!

Always a highlight of the event is watching Stampin' Up! CEO Sara Douglass and her mother and Stampin' Up! Co-Founder Shelli Gardner stamp together. They featured the Fine Art Floral Suite. I'm excited to try the Gold Leafing they demonstrated!

One of the perks of attending On Stage is being able to pre-order before other demonstrators.
