3 Stampin' Up! Wildflower Birthday Fun Fold Cards + Free Online Class Video

I was so inspired after Tuesday's Great, Big Card Swap Showcase! (Watch the replay) I chose three of the cards from the swap and recreated the fancy folds using the Wildflower Birthday Designer Paper. I love this beautiful paper and the laser cut pieces make it so easy to decorate these special cards.

This Vertizontal Card was inspired by Terry Bigg's swap card. She used the Bistro Burger stamp set to create this fancy fold card (Original card design by Robin Armbrecht.) This design includes a vertical card with a small flap adhered around a horizontal cardstock base. Here's my version:

Every month, the "Curly Girls and Karra", a family of stampers, create their swap cards together virtually (since most of them live many states apart). They usually choose a fun fold or technique that they all incorporate while customizing and personalizing their cards with different stamp sets. Their cards inspired this next fun fold. See them here. (Original inspiration from "Stampin' Notes" on Facebook.)

The last Wildflower Birthday Pop-Up Card was inspired by Pat Williams. Every month, she shares the most amazing fun fold cards for the Great, Big Card Swap. Usually they are card designs that I've never seen before. (Not sure who to credit for the original fold design.)

Here's my version of what I'm calling the Interlocking Double Gate Fold Card. After the livestream last night, I changed the designer paper on the front of the card to create more contrast against the white cardstock squares. I like it so much better with the Pool Party design. Leave a comment and let me know what you think after you watch the video tutorial!

7 Stampin' Up! Charming Duck Pond Card Ideas

Did you see the Lily Pond Lane cards that I shared yesterday? See Them Now. Since Mom and I didn't have the Charming Duck Pond stamp set and dies when we originally shared those cards, we decided to feature the suite in a more recent episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie. Everything in this suite is retiring, so be sure to get your favorites while supplies last! (Unfortunately, the dies have already sold out, so don't wait on the stamp set and paper!)7 Stampin' Up! Here are a couple more cards that I created with the Lily Pond Lane Designer Paper. I love that you can die cut images right from the paper, which I did for both of these cards!

5 Stampin' Up! Lily Pond Lane Card Ideas & Rubber Band Brayer Technique

The first time I played with the Lily Pond Lane Designer Paper was last spring when I brought home a package as a door prize after OnStage. I created these cards for an episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie.

I wanted to do a fun technique so I pulled this brayer technique out of the archives! It still works with the new brayer -- just remove the silicone brayer from the handle and wrap rubberbands around the barrel. Run the brayer across an ink pad to pick up ink and then roll it across a piece of cardstock. I used Balmy Blue ink and cardstock for these cards.
I used the 2-3/8" Circle Punch to create the window in the first card and then used that circle for the focal point of my second card.

I didn't have the coordinating Charming Duck Pond bundle when I made these cards, so I used using images from the designer paper and added greetings from the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder. I used the brayer (without the rubber bands) to ink up the embossing folder and add definition to the sentiments before die cutting. There is one single die that fits into the embossing folder and die cuts all of the sentiments at once!
I used Stampin' Blends to color inside the lines of the sentiments. The Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder includes ten different sentiments, so here are a few more card ideas using other greetings and the Lily Pond Lane Designer Paper.

I love the colors in the Lily Pond Lane Designer Paper! I used most of them on these cards: Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue, Pretty ink Pink, Peach Pie, and Gray Granite.
