2014 Founder's Circle: Day 1 Highlights + a Sneak Peek!

The worst part about traveling is the traveling part. From my house to the hotel in St. George, Utah it took me 12 hours to get to the Founder's Circle Retreat! Whew! But I made it! And that's all that counts!

This year's theme is "Home for the Holidays" and as always, the Stampin' Up! Events staff have decorated perfectly!
Keeping with the theme, our Team Welcome Activity was building a gingerbread house! I can't say that ours was the best decorated, but at least it was still standing!

Dinner was divine! Christmas ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, and bread pudding. We all agreed that we don't dine on decked out tables at home, even for the holidays, but it felt great to be spoiled with it there! At each place setting, there was a beautiful box of chocolates.
Our team was the "Running Reindeer"!

After dinner, I went straight to bed. It felt so good to sleep in and take my time this morning. One of my favorite perks of this trip is getting my own hotel room! I know that seems so silly, but it is such a treat to have my own space! And this year, I got lucky with a King size bed!!

Check out my "haul" from the first day! They had gifts for us in the Gathering Place and after completing the Welcome Activity, and of course, waiting for us on our bed after dinner. wanna see what was inside our first pillow gift (the one on top)?
Stampin' Up! changed their policy about sharing new products online before they are released so I'm excited to reveal our first gift: a new stamp set and framelits from the upcoming Occasions Catalog! The "Crazy About You" Photopolymer stamp set has words that pair perfectly with the Hello You Thinlit Dies ("happy", "thanks", "hello", and "you"). Watch for my next post and I'll share some samples made using these new goodies!
