Last weekend, I held a mega card class with my demonstrator friends Jessica Ingold and Rachel Chamberlain. We hold a class like this 2-3 times a year in the Springfield, Illinois area. We each prepare 4 cards, so there are 12 cards total for attendees to create. I always forget how much work it is until I'm in the middle of making up 180 card packets (that's 45 each of 4 cards), but it's always worth it! Our classes always goes smoothly and we have so much fun together!
Here is one of the four cards that I designed for our spring class. I used the Truly Tailored stamp set and True Gentleman to make this masculine gate fold card. This would be perfect for Father's Day, birthday, graduation, or retirement.
The outside is pretty clean and simple, but the card has a fun fold to make it extra special. It's a standard gate fold card that has front flaps that meet in the middle. It's super easy to make! Start with an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of cardstock and score at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8". Then embellishment any way you want! Make sure if you have a centered piece of cardstock on the front that you only use adhesive on one side so that you don't glue the card closed!
