CASEing the Catalog with In the Pines

Whenever a new catalog comes out, I love to flip through and mark the projects that I want to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit). Sometimes I copy them exactly like I did with this first In the Pines Card. 
Other times, I use the inspiration project as a springboard and change an element or two -- such as the stamp set or colors -- or both -- as I did in the second card.

For this second card, I was inspired by the Lots of Leaves card below. I used a different Plaid Tidings pattern and made a Christmas card with the same idea as the inspiration card: a negative die cut space layered over designer paper.
