Stampin' Up! 2023 Million Sales Retreat Highlights

Last November, I surpassed my $1,000,000 Career Sales Milestone after celebrating 20 years as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! Read More This month, my husband and I traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah for the Million Sales Achiever Retreat. We were celebrated along with 19 other achievers with a couple days at the home office, several group dinners, and a special excursion (glass-blowing!).

Since Jim and I decided not to go on the Norway incentive trip this year (Claire is graduating high school and Elise is "promoting" from 8th grade), the timing for our trip to Utah could not have been any more perfect! We enjoyed our time away together and being pampered by Stampin' Up!

We spend the first full day at the Home Office, where each achiever received a personalized bouquet of flowers and were greeted with cheers in the atrium of Stampin' Up! headquarters in Riverton, Utah. In smaller groups, we got to tour the facility -- including helping to "pick" orders in the warehouse, meeting with Demonstrator Support, touring the legacy room, and learning about how the catalogs are designed and created (with lots of sneak peeks!!). We enjoyed a catered lunch with the Leadership Team which included a soda bar -- with custom flavored sodas named after Stampin' Up! colors.

This display in the Legacy Room is changed out regularly to feature catalog projects as well as original art that is created during the design process.
A gift at lunch: a clear block etched with the $1 Million logo plus a rubber and photopolymer stamp of the same image (used on the gift bag tag).

A special treat from Hello, Sugar!

Stampin' Up! hosted achievers at the Grand America hotel in a beautiful suite. I should have take more photos of the room, but I can tell you that it's definitely the fanciest hotel that I have ever stayed in!

Here's the view from our window:

Each afternoon, we received a special "pillow" gift -- including a designer handbag chosen specifically for each achiever, a matching wallet, and a necklace that was personalized with two dates: the date we became a demonstrator and the date we achieved our million milestone. Jim got a pillow gift too! A travel pouch monogrammed with his initials.

Our second full day the home office was just for achievers. We had four different sessions (personalized to our preferences) with different departments including Concept Art, Product Design, Marketing, IT -- and Stamping with Sara & Shelli. We loved hearing from staff and getting a behind the scenes look at how they create all of the amazing products that we love. We also saw LOTS of sneak peeks -- including a brief look at the new catalog!! (I tried to take one home, but they wouldn't let me!) We enjoyed a catered lunch with the DDMs (Demonstrator Development Managers) and I loved seeing and visiting with so many home office friends!

Our last full day in Utah was more relaxed. Most of the achievers participated in a Fun Fold Card Swap and we swapped after breakfast. See the Swaps.

Achievers got to select one of three excursions and Jim and I chose Glass Blowing! They drove us up to Park City (such a beautiful drive), where we had lunch and then got to help create a small glass bowl (which will be mailed to us) at Red Flower Studios.

There was so shortage of treats during the trip and the group dinners were amazing! We at at the Red Iguana's Red Tree Room, Caputo's, and Franck's Restaurant.

I have gotten many questions about my stamp set! In the past, achievers have worked on their stamp set during their visit to the home office, but the process has changed now that they are doing group retreats. My idea has been approved and I will work virtually with the designer sometime this summer/fall. I can't tell you anything about my stamp set except that it will be released in the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog. Yep! 2025! Stampin' Up! works that far in advance to design and produce new products! I promise to keep you posted when it's time for the big reveal!

Disclaimer: The achievements mentioned in this post are NOT the typical experience for a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. The level of sales required to achieve this result is accomplished by less than .001% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.

Congratulations on your great achievement. Appears to have been a fantastic trip. Yay for Jim getting a pillow gift, too! I’m looking forward to seeing your glass-blown item.
