15 Card Ideas w/ Stampin' Up! Make a Memory Scrapbooking Kit

If I'm being honest, I was not that excited to receive the Make a Memory Scrapbooking Kit as a gift on the Disney Incentive Trip last year. (I'm required to remind that you less than 1% of Stampin' Up! Demonstrator achieve the incentive trip.) This kit includes lots of pieces including 12" x 12" printed pages, 4" x 6" patterned paper, pre-cut images, and stickers to create six two-page spreads. While there are some inspiration photos, this kit is meant to be more of a create-you-own and less of a step-by-step experience (like the Scrapbooking Workshop Kits). But as someone who doesn't scrapbook -- I felt underwhelmed. I came home and made a card with it and then put it aside and forgot about this kit.

That is, until the Last Chance List was updated on April 1st. I think this Kits Collection kit was already on the Last Chance List, but now it's 70% off! SEVENTY!! Originally $36, now you can get the Make a Memory Kit for only $10.80! So I challenged myself to get it back out and make some more cards! I cut the 12" x 12" pages down into card bases and I used almost every last precut image to create 15 cards!

For most of the cards below, I used the paper in the kit to create the card bases. These pages have a pattern printed on them, but they are heavier than designer paper and perfect for a card base. To get three card bases from one sheet, start by scoring at 5-1/2" and cut off the end at 11". (Save this strip to cut down and use on cards!) Then, turn the cardstock 90" and cut at 4" and 8".

All of the paper pieces on these cards came from the kit -- with the exception of the greetings, stamped and punched from Basic White Cardstock. I also added Linen Thread and embellishments.

For these last four cards, I cut the 4" x 6" paper pieces down to 4" x 5-1/4" to create a card front that I adhered to a regular cardstock card base. I used the 3/4" strip leftover from the card front to adhere to the inside of the card on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White Cardstock. All of the other pieces (besides the punched greetings, linen thread, and embellishments) are from the Make a Memory Kit.
